C how great was pyarelal, he always gave rafi sahab atlaest 1 or 2 songs in each movie even if producers were against it...because without rafi sahab there would have been laxmikant-pyarelal...Parasmani their first film rafi sahab sang 4 songs, but producers did not give him money.. because the movie was a flop..then also laxmikant pleaded rafi to sing in next movie, producers didn't had money..even then rafi asahab sang all the songs in dosti and it was one of the best movies of 60's.
THen they told subhash ghai..but subash ghai told them all songs should only be given to kishore kumar, he can only match rishi kapoor..but pyarelal told him if u want to give kishore kumar the song, u take kishore kumar for the song, but we won't give music..then subash ghai agreed at last..then rafi sahab recorded the song and probably this song was the best in movie and everybody liked it...
subash ghai realized his mistake , and went to rafi sahab's house and met him, congrajulated him..

@vijivihar my 2 cents on this: I first saw SRK in Deewana...his first movie...and he was brought in with lots of publicity so when I saw the movie I was disappointed by his overacting ... and he also looked very ordinary...nothing special at all...since then I have seen few more movies...and was impressed how much he has improved his acting and also his appearance...latest one I just saw last week was My name is Khan...and he was good in it...however both Salman and Aamir Khan are much better...

but today everyone has the similar voice and even if a singer is not in sur through technology he can change his voice. in the golden years, till the song is not completed the singer will not record finally. he should reherse properly and then render. but today rehersels r not there. because of technology, anybody can sing. also the real spoilage of music was started in the early 70's and then in 80's bappi lahiri completely made the music sick with rock music. he is the major reason of this.

none of the movies were creative and contained the same subject.. the songs were really boring. when a song would start playing, i went to the bathroom immediately. that shows the spirit of songs in technology life. no music director can create the same magic that were there in 50's and 60's. also the story-line crosses the border that public get frustrated and think that when the movie is going to end. in the olden days i.e in the golden era there were good singers, lyricists and music director

Srk had many hit films in 90's but after kuch kuch hota hai i do not like any of his movies. they r really disgusting to watch. especially karan johar movies r very pathetic. the story is never ending and same parivarik stories, he never creates new subject. he makes movies on same subject. then as ekta kapoor who is probably the worst director till date started making movies and some fucking serials with letter K and karan thought if he will do the same thing his movies will work.but all flopp.

whatever everybody will say still the best actor in bollywood remains dilip kumar...and then naserudin shah...both r great actors of their time..yes after them, amithabh is the best..shahrukh is a nice actor but he may come at 9th or 10th in the list.also shammi kapoor is a versatile actor and a good dancer..in dancing style he is better than shahrukh khan..rajendra kumar is also a very fine actor and has a image of his own..aamir still remains better than shahrukh..

@GoldenPearlz from last 17 yrs, aamir khan and ajay devgan r ruling bollywood...srk's films producers r wasting their time and money unnecessarily..they can promote some young and talented actors instead of shahrukh khan who is going to be 46 yrs next year. also don was a big flop..it was way behind the originl don of amithabh..what will happen to don 2?? it will be another flop..but the best actor in bollywood still remains dilip msahab whatever people may say...

@vijivihar my 2 cents on this: I first saw SRK in Deewana...his first movie...and he was brought in with lots of publicity so when I saw the movie I was disappointed by his overacting ... and he also looked very ordinary...nothing special at all...since then I have seen few more movies...and was impressed how much he has improved his acting and also his appearance...latest one I just saw last week was My name is Khan...and he was good in it...however both Salman and Aamir Khan are much better...

@vijivihar Aur yaar shakal soorat pe aur acting pe sabse bada mazaak hai Abhisek Bachan. At least SRK achieved success on his own hard work. But this Abhisek would not even have been a chaprasi side-actor if not for being Amitabh's son. So thats why Im not crazy about SRK but I have noticed he has improved a lot from his first few movies when he was lousy till now...He is nowhere near Aamir or Salmaan in my opinion but he is miles ahead of Abhishek Bachan...

@vijivihar Well you know I am so disillusioned by most new hindi movies I have seen that I didnt even take the "unreal" factor into account... Even 3 idiots is quite unreal and most hindi movies these days are pathetic in everything. So My Name is Khan was slightly higher on that scale because Ive seen too many worse than those. Agree SRK was very good in Don. As for new actors only one who impressed me most is Arjun Pampal...and Neil Mukesh's acting was alright also in 2 movies Ive seen.
