  • You keep touching your hair, then you touch the food. This becomes a sanitation issue.

  • im so confuse.. What about eggs, butter, sugar, and vanila?

  • I make a similar raw recipe often...but I add a lot more to it:) Ground nuts (several kinds; almonds, sunflower seeds, pecans, walnuts), then I add raw cocoa powder, or carob powder for a caffeine free option. Coconut oil, vanilla, & I add some healthy super powders too, that are optional for those who don't have any. And roll them in coconut shavings. They are heavenly! I always store in the freezer...they are cold and chewy. You can find recipes at my blog; link on my youtube page:)

  • Thanks for approving the video response Liz.

    Have a lovely day!

    Take care.

  • Hi Liz!

    That looks delicious!

  • I'm a vegetarian, but after making these, I am really considering becoming a vegan or a raw vegan. I made these treats today and they were amazing. My whole family loved them. Great recipe. :)

  • Great recipe, hate to put a damper on it though. With all due respect, in the kitchen, touching of ones hair is unacceptable if the food being prepared will be consumed by anyone other than the chef. Raw food especially, must remain as sanitary and pristine as possible. Just a thought from a conscientious observer.

  • Just made these today and I am in love with them!! Thank you for the recipe. I love your channel. You really have me thinking about changing my diet to Vegan.

  • So love these. Ive been making since seeing your video. My 11 yr old daughter also loves them - so they never last very long :-). Thanks so much for sharing.

  • what food grinder do u use? :)

  • i love your food videos so much (especially the raw food things) but i'm always wondering what you eat for breakfast. only fruit and nuts? or are there any cereals involved as well?

  • Hi, I just made these this morning...They are a GREAT go to snack when I need a little pick me up...Where I live dates are EVERYWHERE so this is a great recipe to use up all our dates...

  • what food grinder do u use? :)

  • THANKS so much again for these recipe videos!!!! so far i have made the date coconut rolls, and the banana ice cream! YUM im going to try the zucchini pasta next! <3

  • This reminds me of the LARA bars. You should try this with raw cashews and dried cherries. Thanks for the video.

  • I tried this and it is SUCH a good recipe! So yummy, perfect sweet little treat. Super simple too!

  • I want to try this recipe !! It looks sooo good !

  • Hello Liz! I'm a new subscriber....you are very inspiring and just may be the key to me getting my life back on track....I think its the nail polish....LOL! (I'm laughing, but I'm actually serious...there is a story behind that comment - if you'd like to hear it let me and I will send you a PM). Anyway, just wondering if your husband is also on a raw food diet. How do you manage?

  • his looks great! I plan to try this and use up some coconut flakes I have in my pantry. I'm loving the raw diet videos! have you tried raw banana soft serve? it's sooo good and easy to make. Just freeze bananas and then process then in the food processor for a few minutes to get banana "ice cream" I just make it w/the frozen bananas and sometimes add fruit or nuts to top. I think it would be right up your alley. can't wait to see more videos on healthy living!

  • awesome

  • Hi Liz! I made a similar recipe using coconut, almond flour, a little bit of agave nectar to sweeten and some cocoa. My two little boys helped me roll them into little balls and we put them in the fridge for 10 minutes. They loved participating. They thoguht it was the most delicious thing ever.

I have been following a wheat free vegetarian diet, high on the raw for a while now. It is the best I have felt.

  • Hola Liz!

  • What are dates called in spanish?

  • @macluver1000 datils (:

  • in Spanish is called "Dátiles"

  • @macluver1000 actually datils is Catalá, it might be the same in spanish?

  • @LizYArtur dátiles in Spanish :-)

  • @macluver1000 Datiles :)

  • Wow, they came out looking sooo delicious!!! I love dates! Thanks for sharing :) xoxo sara

  • Is this recipe high in calories?

  • @wpgmistyh2o SUPER HIGH

  • @wpgmistyh2o High is relative. One ball is probably 50 to 60 calories? It's really not high when you compare it to cakes/chocolates. It also has no saturated fat! Your body will have to work hard to break this down!

  • @wpgmistyh2o yeah it's pretty high in calories but it has a lot of fiber and is a really good 'candy' so just don't eat to much and your fine :) and your body has a really easy time digesting these and there are no bad additives or anything so :D yay

  • I think it would be nice with vanilla ice cram or vanilla sauce but just a little bit of sauce.

I'm thinking about making ice cram cake with almond balls (may be smashed) at the bottom, than vanilla ice cream and almonds on the top.. mm..

    But I'm sure it's yummy itself! :)

  • Those look delicious! I adore coconut, so I definitely want to try these. Thanks for sharing. :)

  • So you know how you made the little balls of the mixed up nuts and stuff? well, Im not sure if they have it in Spain, but they have them in America. Its a little melon(or fruit) scooper. Its a little circle(and it will make the size of the balls you made). But its like a spoon! So all you do is have to scooop, and then your done! Hehe! I would totally try this, I hope I can someday!! hhee

  • @Smobai3 Yeah it's called a melon baller I am pretty sure!

  • @erin46032 Hehe, I knew it was something, can you thumbs up the post so she can see it? Im sure it will help her, :)

  • I'm sure it's so delicious, we use to make this in morocco!! and we eat them with tea!! thanks for the recipe

  • That looks really good! x

  • Those remind me of the date nut pop-ems I purchase from Dr Fuhrman. I love them!!! And now I can make them on my own.

    Thanks for sharing Liz!!!!

    xx, Denise :D

  • but that is really high in calories

  • @aliciaqin1 Yeah, you have to be carefull and not overeat them.... especially because they are sooo yummy!!! You might portion control them in little ziploc baggies and freeze them.....only eat one bag each day, something like that. ;)

  • @aliciaqin1 It's really not high in calories. lol. It's a desert. When you compare them with other deserts, they are actually super low in calories! Also this receipe has little to no saturated fats and doesn't use processed or added sugar :)

  • That looks delicious :)

    I love coconuts haha.

  • Looks delicious! I will try this out! :)
