The reason is because he wants the ball to get into a roll sooner. If you watched the first vid, they were explaining about how little backend there was, so you had to work with the front part of the lane. So, in order to do that, they'll use aggressive balls with aggresive layouts to get them to read the lane. Also, notice how the balls hook in the oil when going down the lane.
