@dorothy76 The MET has been going steadily down hill for the last 20 years as has a lot of opera productions Jon Vickers totally called it in "The Jon Vickers Interview"

Right voice for the role, better than Domingo or even Pavarotti (concert). Great technique. Listen to the MET broadcasts and ask yourself. Why Mr/ Springer is not there ? answer: POLITICS !!!
