  • Since i barely have anything for my Junctions (such as Death, Sleep, etc.) This battle is really hard for me. Is there any of those in Galbadia before I fight Edea?

  • @TheLinktwin Unless you're really high leveled, I'm not sure you'll find Death spells. Sleep spells aren't too rare, so I'm sure some creatures have them. You can always beef up on Str and just pummel her into submission.

  • Well all you have to do is junction sleep to squall's attack and once Seifer is down, use squall to attack Edea and she'll fall asleep. After that you pound her with everything you got!

  • I've wondered What determines the amount of health the bosses have my old ass guide from 1998 says that Edea's lowest HP she can start with is 500-16,000 Kinda always wondered that >_>

  • @wizardlyTKO Her HP depends on her level, so if she's a Level 100 (or whatever her max level is), she'll have 16,000 HP. And her level is basically your party's average level. I guess thats how the game keeps up with your characters so you're never over or underleveled for battles.

  • this battle was longer then it needed to be

  • I have Squall with Shiva, Diablos, Leviathan and Pandemona. I have Zell with Ifrit, Siren and Carbuncle. And I have Quistis with Quezacotl, Brothers and Cerberus. I just junction them so that I don't have to use many items later like Rosetta Stone, Aegis Amulets, Hyper Crowns and the like. There isn't a wrong way to junction them, I just prefer to not have to use a bunch of rare items.

  • FYI, I'd junction the rest like so. Squall: Doomtrain, Tonberry. Zell: Alexander, Eden. Quistis: Cactuar, Bahamut. Tonberry has no effect on Junctions, so you can put him on whoever you want. But with this, I don't have to use many rare items to have the best abilities.

  • think i must be going wrong somwhere my characters only have like 800 hp max and physical attack only about 100 so i rely on gf which take arround 1000 have i missed something out along the way?

  • I don't know what levels your characters are at, but I'd say it sounds like your Junctions aren't in order. At this point I have 100 Triples Junctioned to Str, so I'm hitting hard. I probably have something like Quakes or a few Ultima's for HP, which gives it considerable boost. Check out your Junctions and alter them up a bit, and you should be better after that.

  • GDI I forgot to draw Alexander ><. I guess it was because I started the fight off with Squall's limit break and it ended in seconds. GDI!!!

  • You can also draw Alexander from Catoblepas in Sorceress Ultimecia's Castle at the end of the game.

  • @blakstang98 yea, I read about that recently but thanks though.

  • hmm mine were squall lvl 58 irvine lvl 49 and quistis lvl 45 with squall doing about 2000 attack quistis 1300 and irvine 500 my first run through this game ever lol pretty awsum game

  • i play psp psn version, when edea used death my game restart to seifer battle, i was like WTF.

  • Why are everyone's characters so powerul? xD

Squall is 35 and all the others are 22... Still, They do damage between 80-250.... IS THIS NORMAL!? XD

  • Well, at this point I had my Junctions setup pretty well, so I was doing good damage. Junctions are very important in the development of your characters. With the Triples I got from Odin and Cerberus, I was able to do big damage with basic attacks.

  • just throwing this around but in this fight i was able to put edea to sleep via junction then ya don't need to worry about healing unless she woke up ,good vid 5/5

  • You can put Edea to Sleep? Interesting, I never knew that. I'll certainly try that next time I play the game. Thanks for that heads up man!

  • what level was you on when you fought her because this is my first time seeing her use death.

  • Squall level 25, Zell level 19 and Quistis level 17. So Edea was probably at around level 21 or so.

  • humm realy? Huh i guess its cause the battle was longer with the exseption of Quistis i was at the same level only i used Rinoa in her place but its still my first time seeing her use death. Still i have learned some good tactics from you such as draw early on in the game and stuff. Another great vid 5/5.

  • @DJYC21215 Edea uses death once her health starts to get low... I hate this boss battle... T.T

  • can anyone please tell me what this song is called on the soundtrack during the fight?

  • I suppose it would depend on where you get the information from, but on my soundtrack it's called Premonition.

  • @blakstang98 sweet, thanks. thats what its called on itunes. thanks again.

  • i hate 7:55

  • Yeah, that whole part if pretty freaky indeed.

  • Wow... the sound for this video is TERRIBLE. Otherwise good vid I guess.

  • Man thats seifer? Dang he looks diffrent than when he is on KH2.

  • Yeah, KH and FF are made by the same company and tend to make their games with a lot of characters with the same names. So yeah, it's a different Seifer in KH2 than this one. I wouldn't doubt if there was another Seifer in another Square game.

  • You cold have caste carabuncle so she would spend 3 turn to caste diespel on you

  • I never tried the Carbuncle trick on Edea the 2nd time around. When I used it in the first battle in the past, she would Dispel once then just cast spells on that one. I'm just not a fan of Carbuncle in general anyway. I just hate trying to cure my party and having it reflected.

  • If you just continuously use Carbuncle all Edea will do is case Dispel. So just keep doing Carbuncle over and over again and she won't do anything else. That way you won't need to heal your party.

  • Actually, if I'm not mistaken, most of her spells in this battle can't be reflected, unlike the first battle. I don't remember though.

  • It doesn't matter if they can't be reflected, she will cast Dispel regardless.

And her Blizzaga, Thundaga and Firaga magics CAN be reflected.

  • I understand, I just think her non-reflectable magic is more dangerous, and not worth the risk of accidentally curing her because of my Reflect. Well, we all have our own ways of doing these battles.

  • 7mins ti finish them? -.- that fight its easy :S with squal special you can kill edea in 1min -.-

  • Well, I spent a lot of time trying to Mug the Royal Crown and to Draw out some Magic. I agree, the battle could have done a lot faster, especially with Squall's Limit Break.

  • Kinda boring since you only used physical attacks

  • You did a really great job with the recording - I didn't even know it was just a camera pointed at the TV until I heard you talking. Usually, it looks really bad when it's recorded like this.

  • Thanks, glad you liked it! The color would be a lot better if it was on a gamebridge, but all in all, it came out pretty good.

  • Yeah this battle was a little harder, but you still had the upper hand by far. What's a Royal Crown again? Aah, big ass Alexander :D He's huge, but not as huge as the FFIX one that protects Alexandria :p.

Wow, disc 3 already, can't wait to see those awesome boss battles at the end!

    -DZJB

  • A Royal Crown gives a GF the Mag+60% ability. And totally, Alexander in FFIX was of epic proportions, no doubt a whole lot bigger than this one.

Disc 3 is gonna be all about the sidequest battles, like Bahamut and such!
