ps: on both psn and xbox 360, i got the same nickname as here, but on xbox 360 i am much higher in the score tables. still, there are people much faster than me :) and yes, that's on normal car class :D

it's possible to do a 4:21;130 run with the normal car class. just set the steering sensetivity at it's lowest, and then set the controller settings to type E, so green is downshift, and red is upshift (X downshift and O upshift on playstation 3). some players prefere the blue button for downshift, and green for upshift. just try what you like best. with the E setting, just roll your thumb over the green and then red button to activate a shift drift.

i have also outrun 2, and outrun 2006 coast to coast, and the last one had sensetivity settings. i found the default setting way to responsive to be able to smoothly keep huggin the inside of the corners. and hitting the grass slows you down. so i tried it at its lowest, and it worked exelent ! and shift drifts makes hard corners much easyer :-) in one corner (ending stage E) you even need to quickly shift down 4 gears and then back up to its highest to take the hairpin courner almost full speed

How do you keep the car so stable at those minor turns, and keep speed at 300? I tried to stabilize the car and it kept twisting and turning. Best I could muster was 4:50+.

well if you let go off the gas briefly on certain corners you can go around them still going. for example at 00:35

nope :-) the same route can be taken with the normal car class, and still get a 4:21,*** time. the most important thing is to hug the inside of the corners even more so than you see in this video (saves a lot of time) and don't use automatic transmission. you need the shift drift for the harder/sharper corners. the normal car is more stable, so youre bound to make less errors.
