This was my favorite Christian song when I was a teen, showed it to my mates at church... I bought the album, I looove the lyrics "The rains came down"
That was until I become an atheist and now its sad hear bands waste there time singing to nothing.
Many things, deconversion is a very complicated process and everyday I try to figure out what happened to me. I basically had a drive to test my current beliefs, if I didn't, I would feel extremely guilty for not being honest with myself. Not believing in God was the result of many things I slowly stopped believing such as Creation Science, Miracles, Bible Inerrancy, Personal Revelation etc. Up to the last days I ALWAYS thought I'd be a Christian forever, it creped up on me
I definitely understand. Like how when you can't fall asleep at night and you're praying for God to make your body sleep and He doesn't and you ask, "why?" Or how I've never known God's will for my life concerning direction, where to go, what career to pursue, where to go to church . . . But I'll tell you that I'm 23 and I've never kissed a girl. (obviously I'm a virgin) It's hard not knowing where "the one" is for me but I have a peace, knowing she'll come into my life when
@truckcompany (part 2). . . when God thinks we're ready for it. The reward will be so much greater. It's like wine. The sweeter it will be the longer it rests and waits for the right time. I know what it's like to not just doubt personal revelation, but to not get it, but. . . Maybe I'm not ready for that. For whatever his reasons, I just need to wait and be patient. Anyway, thanks for answering. I enjoyed hearing from you.
Sounds like you don't understand. The struggle with personal revelation wasn't why God didn't answer some of my prayers (Im sure he had his reasons). It was, when God did answer my prayers, how would I know it was God acting on those prayers, as opposed to it happening anyway. If I prayed "God lead me to an empty carpark" Im sure you and most sane Christians would agree that it wasnt really God, even If I asked for it. I would feel guilty if I believed God answered my prayers....
Oh I see now. Haha. Yeah I've felt that. Feeling like He is answering prayers but in the end you can't be sure. Or thinking you hear his voice in your conscience but maybe it's just you? Unfortunately, yeah a lot of Christians don't understand their own walk much less anyone else's yet they pretend to. I hope the best for you.
So to cope with this, I stopped believing God had answered my prayers. Instead I thought, maybe it was God, maybe it wasnt God, only God can know for certain. Remember, I was still a Christian for the next 10 years after this. At the time, I assumed I was growing in my faith, like many current Christians that view personal revelation in the same way. Looking back now (unknown at the time), this was actually a contributing factor in my De-conversion.
Also there are alot of things the media hides from us. The media is all opinionated and is a one sided story. To find the truth we have to go out and find it ourselves. People say the government runs a nation when in fact its the media that does.
This is where I was in the year 2000... And this was some of the softer stuff I was digging. Really into Project 86 then and as recently as two years ago.... Some things in my life have def changed but this bright and shiny happy song still brings a smile to my face.
@EXTREMEPSYKOCITY Thats because animals only having basic instincts. Which are as follows eat, sleep, migrate, and mate. Also animals dont know any better so that doesn't bother me. But the homosexuallity of mankind is just unnatural. So my argument and opinion stands as is. As far as being homosexual its a choice not genetics or any of that happy horse shit, its a choice. However what people choose to do with their lives is their choice to make not mine, but we are untitled to our own opinion.
the science in the world has proven everything in the bible is true so far. But mankind will never know everything. As for gays I would think that having a dick rammed in the ass would be painful as hell and as for dykes wouldn't you rather feel a real mans penis than some rubber plastic or whatever the hell dildo's are made of rammed in your holes risking having tiny lacerations and all kinds of other shit in there.
@whoohaaXL I agree and I think reason for homosexuality is from some sort of sexual abuse from the opposite sex. For example if a girl is abused or raped at any point in her life by a man she programs that into her mind that men aren't to be trusted so they resort to women. Same thing with boys and contrary to popular belief yes men get abused and raped too. You just don't hear about it.

Eh... maybe limewire, but looking at the number of views on this video, this band isn't very popular to everyone else. But if I can get my hands on the CD i'll hit you up.
If I was one of you sheep that watches the mainstream media and gets completley swayed by this propaganda bullshit, I would blow my fucking brains out. You people need to wake the fuck up. Wow, as a preteen this is one of the first bands I ever got into. I saw them live on a youth trip when i was like 12!! I didn't cherish it as much as I would now, being 19 and respecting music in general so much more now. I miss you, Pax217. :(
@okcomputer1016 I made the comment over a year ago and the fact that you're just commenting on it now shows how much of a life you have. Calling me gay? What are you an infant? Is this highschool? You might as well call me a poo poo face and attempt to take a toy away from someone because you haven't grasped the concept of sharing.
@jet79637 i am indeed an infant. i'm a really really smart one though because i can type and because i'm smart enough not to believe in god or listen to gay music like you do. i have not grasped the concept of sharing. you are a homo. and by the way, you made this comment a year ago? who gives a fuck? a year ago, you were a different person?
@okcomputer1016 lol See you still haven't grasped the concepts of Christianity yet, we're against homosexuality. As far as being smart enough not to believe in God, guess we'll both see in the end eh? I'll let you have the last words, I'm sure they'll be profound. hahaha
@jet79637 being against homosexuality is what makes you all terrible people. love thy neighbor eh? christians are some of the most hateful people. go fuck yourself.
@okcomputer1016 God annihilated two cities for homosexuality does Sodom and Gamora ring any bells. Til this day those areas where those cities once stood are still radioactive and uninhabitable. Because, God basically nuked them for being homosexual.
I own both of their full length albums. They were a stepping stone in the evolution of Christian rock at the start of the 21st century. They left too soon.
dude you like wrote exactly what I was going to write lol...love this album!!! still jam to it!!! and totally hear the 311 soundsystem (my fav 311 album) influence.
it's really funny cuz my youth pastor took my brother and friends to one of pax 217's concerts and a little while after that, david and his wife ali and 2 little kids started coming to my church now. they're the sweetest people ever
ya never heard of 311. besides everyone sounds like something else. its just the way things work-nothing is completely original since we learn from observing. this is one of my favorite songs that will just randomly pop into my head once in a while. not a lot of songs can do that. ps-i couldnt find any info saying David Tosti did any of those things.
Perhaps "you" should get into the Christian bubble! Pax 217 is different enough from 311 especialy when 217 became popular at least 4 years after 311 had there 1 or 2 big songs. Pax 217 easly out shines 311 in talent anyway.
i've never heard them on the radio so sorry i cant magically know every band on the planet
ps-this is the only song i have ever heard by Pax217--it was on the top 10 music videos years ago. in reality i need to get back into my so called 'Christian' music bubble because i hardly listen to any except the classics Rebecca St. James, Jars of Clay, & Newsboys. but then there are the crossover artists but they arent in the bubble any longer so they're out.
Although I can't pinpoint any exact Pax song that sounds like 311, their first cd obviously had a similar sound to them. i.e. the rap/rock/reggae groove. the only think missing is funk, which Pillar had on their first major album.
they are similarly sounding i love 311 and i think this band i pretty good well was back then, i just didnt like when they ranted agaist 311 kinda made me mad
o something about since they say about smoking and stuff which should really matter because its about the music i dont smoke and i love 311 so you know its not an excuse to bad mouth them
I agree. I don't smoke or agree with their lyrics sometimes, but 311 is a great band with awesome music and grooves, and that's all that should matter.
if you want this as an mp3 you can download limewire and search for this song on that program, or you can go to vixy. net (<--no space) and download the video as a mp3 or just as a video.
Hey guys, my best friend is Josh Auer(bass player)'s nephew and they were all getting married and they decided that touring all the time wasn't the lifestyle for their families. Anyway, Josh is touring with Number On eGun right now. But his band is called Avner as many of you prolly know and that band is 3 former Pax217 members.
probably because they werent popular enough and people didnt support them enough :/ im one of those at fault. they used to be one of my favorite bands then i just forgot about them. hopefully they come back again :]]
nah they stopped because the touring lifestyle was hard on the families jus like musicalspoons said, it waz bobby that quit first, then tito, then everyone agreed that it waz time to call it quits.
I don't know if this ultimately led to the breakup, but Dave was having a struggle with pornography and it was putting a strain on his marriage. David even had a personal site up and an article titled "Porn Sunday". The touring lifestyle made it harder to avoid this temptation. If you don't believe me, look it up. Pax was in the process of writing their 3rd album but they abruptly broke up. I wish they would have at least finished it before calling it quits. Dave has a photography site now.
Why not? Hey man, no one's perfect. Are you Christian? Do you know the message of Christ? This little thing called forgiveness. Everyone has their vices.
I always thought that PAX217 brought an element that P.O.D. didn't. The Melodic singing I believe is or has made a difference; it's what I think is the distinction between them P.O.D.
I really miss what PAX217 was doing
they are still a great band of the past and this as well is an awesome song...very good yes.
hey man, pax IS awesome, but p.o.d. has so many more things that pax didnt...im a huge fan of both and its sad that pax had to call it quits. Pax didnt connect with the fans the way p.o.d. does, not to say that pax is ungrateful, i met them at a music fest and they were awesome! but like i said, p.o.d. just connects with the fans in a way that ive never seen before
i heard this from my friends who listens to christian music, and they have been a BIG influence to me(my friends), this is just one of the bands they listen to, and christian bands rock
Drums are nice and tight!

@jet79637 i am indeed an infant. i'm a really really smart one though because i can type and because i'm smart enough not to believe in god or listen to gay music like you do. i have not grasped the concept of sharing. you are a homo. and by the way, you made this comment a year ago? who gives a fuck? a year ago, you were a different person?
okcomputer1016 1 year ago
@okcomputer1016 lol See you still haven't grasped the concepts of Christianity yet, we're against homosexuality. As far as being smart enough not to believe in God, guess we'll both see in the end eh? I'll let you have the last words, I'm sure they'll be profound. hahaha
jet79637 1 year ago
@jet79637 being against homosexuality is what makes you all terrible people. love thy neighbor eh? christians are some of the most hateful people. go fuck yourself.
okcomputer1016 1 year ago
@okcomputer1016 God annihilated two cities for homosexuality does Sodom and Gamora ring any bells. Til this day those areas where those cities once stood are still radioactive and uninhabitable. Because, God basically nuked them for being homosexual.

I own both of their full length albums. They were a stepping stone in the evolution of Christian rock at the start of the 21st century. They left too soon.

@jet79637 please don't insult 311 and zebrahead like that
JPPraterCO08 5 months ago
@JPPraterCO08 Now days my comment is more of an insult to PAX because the other two's most recent albums are crap.
jet79637 5 months ago
@jet79637 Nah, the newest 311 is great. Zebrahead has sucked since like 2003. Pax sounds more like POD.
JPPraterCO08 5 months ago
this is still a beast song!!!! XD

That whole album was epic. I still jam to it. Anyone else see any 311 Soundsystem influences in the tone?

Yeah, Aaron "Skwid" Tosti played with Hawk Nelson from 2005-2007.

PAX factoid: The singer and drummer are brothers. Anywho, what a great band.

ya never heard of 311. besides everyone sounds like something else. its just the way things work-nothing is completely original since we learn from observing. this is one of my favorite songs that will just randomly pop into my head once in a while. not a lot of songs can do that. ps-i couldnt find any info saying David Tosti did any of those things.
orphanedhanyou 3 years ago
You never heard of 311? Dude, get out of the Christian bubble.
droctagon17 3 years ago
Perhaps "you" should get into the Christian bubble! Pax 217 is different enough from 311 especialy when 217 became popular at least 4 years after 311 had there 1 or 2 big songs. Pax 217 easly out shines 311 in talent anyway.
Valkaneer 3 years ago 2
i've never heard them on the radio so sorry i cant magically know every band on the planet
ps-this is the only song i have ever heard by Pax217--it was on the top 10 music videos years ago. in reality i need to get back into my so called 'Christian' music bubble because i hardly listen to any except the classics Rebecca St. James, Jars of Clay, & Newsboys. but then there are the crossover artists but they arent in the bubble any longer so they're out.
orphanedhanyou 3 years ago
lol i remember my christian friends listening to this shit. they suck compared to 311
eluno333 3 years ago
I like Pax but I agree, 311 is better. They came up with the style first.
SkaMasta097 3 years ago
Although I can't pinpoint any exact Pax song that sounds like 311, their first cd obviously had a similar sound to them. i.e. the rap/rock/reggae groove. the only think missing is funk, which Pillar had on their first major album.
SkaMasta097 3 years ago
my brother loved this song back when he was in high school such a long time ago too.

they are similarly sounding i love 311 and i think this band i pretty good well was back then, i just didnt like when they ranted agaist 311 kinda made me mad
HexStylee 3 years ago
what'd they say?
GloomySunset 3 years ago
o something about since they say about smoking and stuff which should really matter because its about the music i dont smoke and i love 311 so you know its not an excuse to bad mouth them
HexStylee 3 years ago
I agree. 311 is one of my favorite bands and I don't smoke like they do but I love their music. That's what it's all about, at least it should be.
SkaMasta097 3 years ago
I agree. I don't smoke or agree with their lyrics sometimes, but 311 is a great band with awesome music and grooves, and that's all that should matter.

ah that sucks :/
nateindahood777 4 years ago
Hey guys, my best friend is Josh Auer(bass player)'s nephew and they were all getting married and they decided that touring all the time wasn't the lifestyle for their families. Anyway, Josh is touring with Number On eGun right now. But his band is called Avner as many of you prolly know and that band is 3 former Pax217 members.
MusicalSpoons 4 years ago
i´m really sad that they broke up! why did they stop!? they´re soo good! anybody who knows why they did?
wittkowskibmx 4 years ago 3
probably because they werent popular enough and people didnt support them enough :/ im one of those at fault. they used to be one of my favorite bands then i just forgot about them. hopefully they come back again :]]
nateindahood777 4 years ago
nah they stopped because the touring lifestyle was hard on the families jus like musicalspoons said, it waz bobby that quit first, then tito, then everyone agreed that it waz time to call it quits.
tribalsoldier07 3 years ago 2
ah i see, that sounds a little more accurate lol.
yeah i agree with you also on the p.o.d. comment too. im a fan of both bands too, but theyre both great
nateindahood777 3 years ago
They need to come back. why did they break up anyway?
iknslu 4 years ago 3
I don't know if this ultimately led to the breakup, but Dave was having a struggle with pornography and it was putting a strain on his marriage. David even had a personal site up and an article titled "Porn Sunday". The touring lifestyle made it harder to avoid this temptation. If you don't believe me, look it up. Pax was in the process of writing their 3rd album but they abruptly broke up. I wish they would have at least finished it before calling it quits. Dave has a photography site now.
SkaMasta097 3 years ago
which one's dave?
GloomySunset 3 years ago
Dave is the singer. The one in the red shirt with the dreads.
SkaMasta097 3 years ago
oh, that's nice. (sarcastic) idk if i should keep them on my favorites.
GloomySunset 3 years ago
Why not? Hey man, no one's perfect. Are you Christian? Do you know the message of Christ? This little thing called forgiveness. Everyone has their vices.
droctagon17 3 years ago
I always thought that PAX217 brought an element that P.O.D. didn't. The Melodic singing I believe is or has made a difference; it's what I think is the distinction between them P.O.D.
I really miss what PAX217 was doing
they are still a great band of the past and this as well is an awesome song...very good yes.
orangechad 4 years ago 2
hey man, pax IS awesome, but p.o.d. has so many more things that pax didnt...im a huge fan of both and its sad that pax had to call it quits. Pax didnt connect with the fans the way p.o.d. does, not to say that pax is ungrateful, i met them at a music fest and they were awesome! but like i said, p.o.d. just connects with the fans in a way that ive never seen before
