  • @eduardoquime cool

  • LOL me too

  • I saw his noodie comb jacket be sold on storage hunters

  • I heard that in L.A Noire

  • the first time i heard this was in the movie Thank you for smoking

  • I sang this at a cigar shop... I got kicked out

  • YeeeeeHa!!!!!

  • Ladies and Gentlemen, Mr. Chuck Thompson!

  • Wait a minute. I didn't think anyone knew cigarettes were bad for you until they put warnings on the packs. Wow, I guess all those bullshit lawsuits should be paid back huh?

  • @bisquik3006 The most far-ranging and intrusive anti-cigarette laws were passed by Nazi Germany, in the 1930s. The laws were based on scientific studies done in the 1920s. If a pregnant woman was caught smoking, the Gestapo could arrest them. Think about Nazis when some clown claims "second-hand smoke kills 200,000 people a year," and other outrageous lies.

  • @theoriginalbadbob You are preaching to the choir my friend. One of my first videos was about "non-smoking nazi's". You would think that society would actually learn something from it's history, and stop repeating it.

  • Thank you, L. A. Noire, for that song and many others :3

  • This is REAL country music!!! Not that Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood crap!

  • Thank you for smoking

  • This is a great video. Thanks for posting it. Tex Williams is my best friend's grandfather. They've probably seen it, but I've just sent this to his daughter and his grand-daughters. Even if they've seen it before, I'm sure it's always nice to see others appreciating him :)

  • listened to this one on 78s at my grandmother's in the 50's--how times have changed--78s to mp3s and nicotene patches

  • Thx!!

  • Birth of Southern rock?

  • This is for all you smokers: you really need to think about quitting. Smoking is not only a disgusting nasty habit, but it is the number one killer. It causes all kinds of cancer, heart disease, clooged arteries, bad breath, yellow teeth. Kids think that smoking is cool and it is nothing but cool. Check out this video on youtube here, "thanks tobacco you killed my mom..." Watch it and heed my warning. That is the road every smoker is going down

  • @fasteddie847 I personally don't smoke cigarettes. However, do you eat snack foods, or fast food? Did you know the chemicals used in most of those, as well as the amount of other unhealthy things are enough to cause heart problems, cancer, clogged arteries, bad breath, many other problems. If you want people to stop smoking cigarettes, it would be hypocritical of you to also not start a war on junk food and fast food restaurants. Or, you can be accepting and allow people to live their lives. :)

  • @SpuffDrums Eating fast food and junk food is bad but it is nowhere comparable to smoking. Smoking is the number one preventitive killer in the world. It's a sick disgusting habit that kills over 400,000 per year. And plus nicotine is the most addictive drug even over cocaine or heroin. Fast food is not addictive

  • @fasteddie847 You're very wrong about fast food and it being addictive. In fact, it's not only fast food. It's a lot of restaurant foods. MSG is a preservative that induces cravings for more food. Combining this with fast food, and the unhealthy ingredients, as well as the dollar menu, makes fast food just as deadly as smoking.

There are multiple articles by health professionals online that back up this point. All you have to do is research them.

  • @SpuffDrums I don't believe that but even if fast food is addictive it's nowhere near the addictivness of nicotine. All you have to goofle list of most addictive drugs and you will see nicotine at the top of every list. I've never seen fast food on any list

  • @fasteddie847 Well, considering you literally just said "google the list of drugs" then of course it won't come up on the list. MSG is a chemical, that our laws have passed as FDA approved, despite them being terribly harmful to our body, the same as nicotine. Not to mention, these "lists" that you're googling aren't official sources...

It seems that you're trying to target a group of people with a lifestyle you don't approve of, and stick official labels on it. You're also dealing in absolutes.

  • @SpuffDrums fast food isn't addictive. i eat fast food all the time. i can go for months without it and start eating it a couple times a week and it doesn't bother me at all. you can't do that with addictive substances like drugs, alochol, nicotine etc

  • @fasteddie847 Once again you're also making false accusations. You're first issue is that you used "drugs" generally. There are many drugs that have no addictive qualities, marijuana being one of them. Alcohol is the same way. It's a mental addiction.

Both MSG found in fast food, and nicotine found in cigarettes DO have real addictive qualities. So you can not attack one, without the other.

  • @SpuffDrums nicotine is the most addictive drug over cocaine and heroin. alcohol is about in the middle just above caffeine and marijuana is on the bottom of most lists

  • @fasteddie847 I don't think you know what classifies as drug and what doesn't...

  • @SpuffDrums Maybe so but I'm smart enough to stay away from cigarettes and smart enough to know that nicotine is the most addictive substance known to mankind. That's why it's legal and marjiana isn't because nicotine is legal and that's profit. Marjiana isn't that addictive

  • @fasteddie847 That's actually not at all why it's legal and marijuana isn't. But that's a whole different political discussion. I wouldn't call it "smart enough". I would call it "picking a different lifestyle choice". You shouldn't be so quick to judge others...

I'm also going to assume that you get all of your information from Fox News...

  • @fasteddie847 I Love smoking if I could I would smoke even in my grave! by Triple X 1 xXx

  • @Metalfuerlinks Then keep smoking big boy. It's just so fucking cool to smoke. I"m 39 years old and I think I'll start smoking Watch the video on youtube, "Thanks tobacco you killed my mom". I'd make a wager that lady also enjoyed smoking too

  • @fasteddie847 CHILL DUDE! have a smoke or something...:)

  • @SpuffDrums lol.............alcohol can certainly be a physical addiction. Hard core, long time alcoholics go through tremors and delerium (when they quit) from their body being acustomed to to the booze...ask anyone that has worked in rehab

  • I'd like to dedicate this video to one of my neighbors.."Mr.& Mrs. Hack'n' Gag". At least these guys in the vid have all their teeth......

  • I been smokin now for 50 years, I'm 65, and cant seem to stop so this song hits home hard

  • hey! chuck thompson....that's my grandpa! how awesome!! rip pa thompson

  • Really??? Amazing guitar pickin'...

  • Is your grandpa still around?

  • no, he died about 4 years ago. he lived in nashville, and i live in oklahoma, so i only got to see him about once a year. the only thing i really remember about him was the guitars all over his house. man, he could play!

  • This looks like the same Chuck Thompson that played along side Scotty Anderson when they both worked for Yamaha (search for "Scotty Anderson Caravan" and watch around 1:03). Scotty has some high praise for Mr. Thompson on his website.

  • i found that video you were talking about of scotty anderson. thank you so much! i miss my grandpa and it's awesome to see him pickin on here :)

  • @bobbielynn83

Hi Bobbie Lynn. I was friends with your grandpa and also his brother Roland in the late 50's and 60's. We had many great times at Tex Williams Village with the whole Thompson family. I can't quite remember all the names but Noka Ray, and Chip come to mind. I never knew what ever happened to Chuck or Roland. Sorry to see that Chuck has passed. He was a fantastic guitarist. On several occasions I've typed his name into google or Youtube. - Terry
