I love old fashion creek baptisms...There's nothing else like it a baptistry to me doesn't have the same feeling as an old fashion creek baptism does. It don't really mind whatever time of the year you are baptized, I'm sure that the Lord would protect you from getting sick after being in zero degree water.

I have a comment and a question. Comment: water baptism is a church ordinance and symbolic of Jesus' death burial and resurrection. We symbolically are buried and resurrected with Him dead to sin. Baptism should be done aftr one has repented of sin and declared faith in public. Question: What part of WV was the video made in? Just curious bc i grew up near a town called Bluefield

There is your why you should be baptized. No where in the Bible does it say it’s a show or a sign.

If you do not believe water baptism is essential, then why was it so important to the Ethiopian Eunuch in Acts 8:36. How come Peter says in 1 Peter 3:18-22 that it is baptism that now saves you. Acts 2:38 says baptism is what washes away our sins. Help me out here?

If baptism isn't necessary then Jesus wouldn't have done it , he did as an example for the rest of us... one one man went to heaven without bap. and he was a special case its dunking in the name of jesus for the rest of us

Baptism is still very necessary. Jesus said in John 3, that we should be born again of water and spirit. Peter preached in Acts 2:38, be baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ and ye shall receive the gift of the holy Ghost. Paul re-baptized John the baptists followers, and read the accounts in the book of Acts of the baptisms in Jesus NAme and the Holy Ghost as 2 seperate baptisms. Yes your right there is only one baptism, its in the Name of Jesus Christ

Baptism not necessary AND should not be practiced. Let your doctrine be updated by the revelation the ascended Christ gave to the Apostle Paul. In Eph 4: 4,5 Paul says there is one baptism. In Rom. 6 Paul makes it clear that the one baptism is the baptism of the Holy Spirit which occurs the moment one accepts Christ. If you believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit AND water baptism THEN you have two baptisms!! You need to keep the UNITY by following Eph 4.

5One Lord, one faith, one baptism...

Clearly we are baptized by the Holy Spirit the moment we believe according to Rom 6. You are destroying the "unity" by having other baptisms.... namely water baptism.

All survived just fine...It was very cold and perhaps a little crazy but it was their choice. They will be able to remember this for the rest of their lives.

It was cold when I got baptized in church. They did orget to turn in the pum in the tub.... I feel for you. But it feels warm when you are in the hands f the lord Dec 4 2007 forever.

Congratulations boys! Reminds me of the scene in Kingdom of Heaven--when Liam Neeson slaps his son in the knighting ceremony (which to knights was a sort of second baptism) and says "that is your oath, and that is so you remember it!"

There is one small detail that I am concerned about... Actually it is a HUGE detail, ehem... Were the candidates disciplined enough to observe the importance of the baptism? Baptism means nothing if you don't realize how big it is, i mean, Going down in the water, and coming up with your sins gone still in the water...

This was their choice so they could always point back to their friends they could say they did it in the creek as opposed to the warm baptismal pool. It's a guy thing!

actualy if you look at there backs you will notice that they are wet as is their front... the only way for the back to become wet is if it is underwater.
