  • Were can you get these machines from and how much are they it would be perfect for my craft work

  • Hey Paperthreads

I'm a woodworker from Nova Scotia and upon viewing this video, the nick n cut looks to be as easy as undoing a lock with no hands.

I know that's sarcastic but seriously why couldn't you use a paper template and cut it out all at once on a scroll saw? even very smalls ones would work on it. I would really like to know what advantages this machine has over a $100 printer and a $100 scroll saw

  • The machine isn't meant for a woodworker, it's for a Scrapbooker & most scrapbookers don't want to purchase a scroll saw to cut out their pieces for scrapbook pages or other craft projects (such as cardstock, craft foam, chipboard, light weight metals, and yes, EVEN Balsa Wood)

You can even have the machine do the scoring into the cuts so you don't have to do it by hand, I prefer doing it by hand, & getting an accurate cut in.

If you are a woodworker, then stick with your scroll saw :)

  • Ahh.... I see thank you for clearing that up :)

  • Hi, can I use my Corel Draw?

  • You can use Corel Draw to create your design, but you can't cut from it, you have to open the file in KNK Studio to cut.

IF you like Corel Draw, you will find KNK studio easy to learn and use...

  • Thanks for showing us how this is done. Can you tell me how thick the balsa wood is?

  • It's about 1/16" thick, bought at Michaels Craft Store in the hobby section.
