Just saw Mr. Felix today, he was jamming with some of his friends in Petaling Jaya. Some awesome bossanova, latin and jazz grooves. I loved how he kept himself busy with variations yet was in the pocket at the same time!

Read your opening remarks again along with all the other postings you made about JF. Anybody can tell the intent of your remarks. Obviously you have a bone of contention with him. Why don't you face him direct and tell him in the face privatey? Now, in the end, the whole world knows what kind of person you. When they read between the lines, they see you washing your dirty linen in public.

One day, you will have to eat your words - just like those people who condemned digital cameras, electric guitars, basses, etc. (Not to say that these things don't have their limits.) Today, these things offer more value for money; and people are making fortunes out of these stuff. Anyway, you're still young....so we understand.

its just you can't feel yourself play it...i mean your good dont get me wrong but i played an electric drum once and it feels really weird..it doesnt have that feel of you bashing the toms or snares

If you have been riding horses & the petrol car comes along, you would feel wierd too & have lots of -ve things to say. Today, cars outnumber, outrun & outperform horses in many ways. 4WDs can ever climb terrains better than horses. One fine day Digital Drums will offer better feel & utility than acoustic; & the die-hards willhave a very small audience then. Today, the die-hard pianist and photographers had to eat their words. Have an open mind. The day will come.

i will come to them when they have a better feel..but i just cant get used to that artificial feel of it..it does have better sound but it sounds fake..not true like a real drum..it annoys me how machines are taking over the most enjoyable things in life..that day will come but nothing will ever change the fact that electric drums have the same feeling as real drum set

Like how riding horse will never be the same as driving a car but the car fits the world better now. Horse riding is now a hobby. If Jerry Felix is a firm acoustic drum player, he has to adapt or fade off. Q is: do you want to fade or thrive. If thrive, better adapt to the trend. Nothing wrong with keeping in touch with acoustic, of course.
