@nicolahmusic09 If you want it wireless, make sure your parents, friend, who ever, has a computer with a router hooked up, once that is done make sure the router has a name.

For example say you set up you router and the name is "Bob's Hangout".

Go to the store and buy a cheap lynksys adapter (it looks like usb plug in) buy it, put the disk in, and when you installing it put in the name of the computers router of what ever its named.

Then you done!

I've had this netbook it's the nicest one I've used. Large keyboard, multi-touch scrolling, open the lid to wake up from sleep, bright display, stylish cover... The only slight annoyance is the cover is a little tight to open. But the build quality is top-notch, feels very very solid.

Just bought the Dell Inspiron Mini Alpine White. (With)-HD Screen, Bluetooth & Mcfee Security Software. What is the difference between 10v and 10 mini. And the HD screen does that quailify all the time or just for playing movies. *Please Reply, may need to cancel order*

10v is just 10 mini 'value', and has less opt-in features than the normal 10. I was going to buy a 10 and with what I wanted it came to $688 or so, but then I got the same on the 10v for $100 less. 10 mini just has built-in 3G option, and integrated television, as far as I could tell.

The reason some of the notebooks have the half-shift key is due to french/french-canadian layout. Those keyboards require an extra key, so dell stuck it beside the shift key, reducing it' size by half.

Nope. Netbooks don't have disc drive. Buy a portable disc drive.

Dell built good product but they're notorious for overly priced and under par with specs compare to competitors. they're never up to date what the consumer wants in a netbook....more rams, more hard drive spaces....

Well done and thanks for the video, Waveblaster. Initially it was hard to decide between a mini 9, 10 or 12. I'm ordering a mini 10 today - the French version. I know it doesnt have the highest specs compared to the recent laptops (eg even the Inspiron 15) but heck, it will be great to have a device that size to take around. Yep i saw that, thanks for letting me know. Annoyingly Dell have just released some more updates to the US version, including a rumored different CPU, Graphics chip, and the ability to buy with Ubuntu pre-installed, so I'm going to play the waiting game all over again to see if we can get these features too!

Yep I know, unfortunately looking at various 'leaked' product roadmaps there are a lot of updates coming over the next few months for the mini 10, so it may be worth waiting for a while!

Yes its good for typing its not a full size keyboard and its takes a little time to adjust to were the keys are but then its all good ;-)
