GW held something like this (alot smaller though!) in Denmark a month or two ago. The victory was shared between a baneblade, and a imperial guard sentinel! The baneblade was immobilized and had lost all but it's front H bolter. The sentinel had lost it's lazcannon and therefore could not hurt the big tank O:

true Baneblades are expensive thats why regiments are lucky to have them lol! I have plans on getting AT LEAST 2 more Baneblades, but my regiment has been butchered(sold) for Marines and Orks, my WAAAGH! now numbers in nearly 400 Orkz. I'm 3 off of 400, I have 397 to be exact, I'm going to showcase my Orks soon also.

Now that's where you're wrong, when Inquisitor Kryptmann wanted to kill an entire world to stop the 'nids, the Ultramarines were dead against it. They were trying to save as many people as they could. And thbe captain involved went aboard the Hive ship to kill the queen himself. That got him kicked out of the chapter as it was not thier job, it was the job of deathwatch to do that. They succeeded though and Tarsis Ultra was saved, although he was still peeved at Kryptmann for using exterminatus.
