Speaking with an accent should not be an issue these days. Decades ago it was embarrasing to have an accent but now that everybody speaks at least some sort of english there are so many ways to do it. No right way because it´s the linqua franca these days.

Suomalaisten olis jo aika päästä yli tosta ääntämiskompleksista, varmaan ainoa kansa maailmassa joka jaksaa kytätä aksentteja :D enlantia puhutaan vaikka millä aksenteilla eikä paljoa hidasta.

I don't really think Teemu's english is that bad, i mean ive heard worse. I can say as a half-finn, that finnish really is very different from english. Saku's english is amazing, gotta admit that. But Teemu's accent is unique :P I also have a small accent, even tho ive lived here almost my whole life, because i have to speak finnish at home :L

But the main thing: Teemu is my hero, has always been, will always be. (:

One thing is for sure however, Koivu cannot for the life of him speak French. Oh we remember Saku...we remember.

@LocoGroove Well it's a lot easier for a Swede to speak good English than for a Finn, Swedish is very closely related to English while Finnish is completely different.

@theade8 True, but Saku speaks much better English eventhough he has lived most of his professional career in a France-speaking are of Montreal, Quebec. I just don't understand why Teemu speaks like he does..weird!

@LocoGroove Some have more talent than others when it comes to languages, might also be that Saku spoke better English as a kid (before he went overseas). Obviously not everyone can speak English at the same level when they come from a non-English country, just like how some for instance are good at math and some aren't.

@LocoGroove For some Finns it is very difficult to learn to pronounce English properly although they could write and understand it perfectly. Example I pronounce English like shit but I can understand and write it pretty fine.

@Pece17 Finnish is so hard langue to learn even to the Finnish them selfs.

There is just so many rules that your head start get numb :)

So untill they speak that fluently Finnish, there is no shame that we cant pronounce with proper English accent.
