@Tonewheeldude....Wow thanks Patrik.....since posting my message with lots of internet searching I've also found a couple of possible saviours!.....so with any luck a full service is on it's way!...I'll post a video when I get it done...many thanks again....Love watching you having fun on yr Hammonds btw...keep posting!
Ah Ha....so that's what my '59 Hammond A100 should sound like!....Hmmmm no service since it was built...numerous tours up & down the UK have taken its toll methinks! :-)...mind you 52 years without a service MUST be some kind of a record!.....Uk restoration anyone?...help!
cause he's playing the bassline with his left hand and just tapping to the beat with his foot. The bass pedal is tapped so short you won't hear the note he plays. From the middle on he plays pedal-bass for a minute or so, then he holds down the pedals long enough so you can hear the sound.
Great playing, man! ! ! My respect...;) ...and great organ....for my taste A100 is sweeter than B3... love it! greetings from serbian jazz funky players ;)
Hey man great sound great organ I have a '59 A100 getting a 122 in a few weeks both restored what were those drawbar settings you had I really liked the tone
Sounds good, particularly the screams and the bass tap accents!! I don't see a Main, Ensemble, Echo switch--how did you silence the amp and use that leslie 122?
When you say "restored 1966 A100" what work has been done? I really like the high end growl of this organ and would like to get the same sound from mine.
Original tune is Boston Bust out by Jimmy McGriff from the album Bag Full of Soul

@davidjohan99 Maybe so:)Contact Mr Malc Deakin at Hammond UK.
He probably knows someone that could help you in the UK.
There is also Mr Clive Botterill Hammond Service. Not sure if he still is active!/Cheers!/Patrik

does recapping the generator make a big difference in sound? I'm sure the old capacitors in mine have long outlived their useful service life.
when rebuilding the AO-28 do you normally just replace all the capacitors or is there more things that might benefit from replacement?
my stuff is completely functional so nothing needs repair just some refreshment would be nice
TomE1123 8 months ago
@TomE1123 Recaping makes the sound brighter.
AO28 can have all sorts of problems, its not exactly high tech, but the units are getting old.So are the components.
Maybe start to change all the tubes for instance../Patrik
