Not ironic, if anything it's disrespectful towards the Christians - in ancient times when Christianity took hold, any one who held such a festival would be executed. It also shows the church that they have not completely destroyed our ancient pagan culture which they tried so desperately to eradicate and wipe from the face of the Earth. If anything, it's letting the Christians know we're not dead and that they failed.
Ironic that there is a menorah topped by jewish stars.
