Mal:The best story I ever heard was the time at Fiesta Lanes in Hayward CALIF when you through about 45 strikes in a row in your street shoes. Also I like the story of you beating a guy bowling with a pool cue.I talked to Scooter Travis about 6 months ago....Rob Allen
Mal:I remember hanging out with you during the 1998 ABC Masters in Reno.I have talked to Cliff Mcnealy and Wade Cupp recently. Some of the juniors I remember from Fiesta Lanes were Jim Winters Tom Radovich Fred Kaczmarczyk Garry Kroeger Dan Rei.I see Jack Byrd once in a while and Gary Mcalister is in my league in Castro Valley...Rob Allen
I hope all is well with you. I remember it all started on Saturday mornings in junior leagues at Fiesta Lanes in Hayward, CA. I started bowling there when you were 18. I used to bowl there with Steve Knapp, Mike Moniz, and the rest....Dave Munoz
He was throwing a Columbia yellow dot, the lanes had a lot of back end and were real dry out where he was playing. That is why the ball appears to be hitting real hard, not that Marshall dosen't already get a ton on the ball, but that helped as you can't see it on the video but he was in real pain and iceing it up between frames and camera shots. Oh yea it was because I was there in the audience in back out of camera range. I'll be damned if I can remember the name of the center though.

This was during the time when Holman in 15 championships rounds only won 1 game. Could this have been the 1?

'Here it comes, here it comes'....like it.

I use a 14 lb. ball, and I guess I can't blame the ball weight for lack of carry after watching this video!
Any idea whether he was using urethane or plastic? I believe urethane was available in '82 but don't know for sure.

I think it might be plastic. Looks like a black or really dark red Yellow Dot.

Urethane was around in 82...it was just coming out.

Holman is something else, I don't think I'd bowl with a broken finger.
