I am 32. In my younger years, I often jerked the weights and did not work out in a slow controlled movement like you mentioned (2-3 secs up/down).
Now I have been for a while and notice a difference in how I feel through the process and see the results. I damaged my shoulder playing baseball many years ago and really appreciate the exercises you have posted. How do
you feel about squats as compared to lugnes? What other leg exercises do you do?
i wanna know how much have training your cuadriceps (4 years ago, 5 years ago, i dont know)and how much i need do it this exercise at day(minuts),that its my question, because i have 4 months ago doing exercise on my legs (quadriceps) for soccer and i wanna know what type of exercises i need, in this exercise workout the quadriceps, right? sorry for mi english its not very good, thanks for you attention.
Not sure I understand your question but I train legs at most once a week. During volleyball season I dont do quads at all, just calves and hamstrings.
scoob u are a beast with the workouts, but I've heard that quick motion muscle movements(or somthing sounding like that) have the best potential for size and strength growth. Is this bullshit? Should I go fast or slow? O and when doing arm curls with dumb bells should I twist the dumb bells? Do you know what I mean? I heard that was better but I dont know. Get back to me!
since u havent heard back from this guy for a while, ill help u out. quick motion workouts is good for things like plyometrics, but for weights, u want to make u you control the weight, not the weight controlling you. You can go at a steady rhythem down, and u can explode when going up with the weight, or flexion. For size, go heavier and less reps. For def'n, go lighter + more reps.
I enjoy doing it and I learn so much from videotaping myself also. I was astounded to see that I was actually going to deep into the lunge here and putting the knee at risk. Kind of embarrasing to be preaching good form and then find out that I was myself was blowin' it!
MORE LEG WORKOUTS!!!!!

Its a bit tough to exercise quads in a home gym, lunges is the only thing I do. A squat rack is not a possibility for many of us who have home gyms.
