  • Thanks Craig this was very easy and awesome. I tried others HOW to but yours is the best. Precise, nice and slow. Keep them coming.

  • To stretch the wave, just click anywhere on the timeline and move the mouse wheel. To make it taller, grab the line in between the track headers on the left of the timeline and make the header for that track bigger by dragging it up or down, just like re-sizing a window.

  • is there a way to make the audio waves larger cause im trying to edit it where my dog barks and i dont want that... i think ctrl+mousewheel worked but somehow i ruined it... help plz

  • excellent tutorial keep up the good work and anything i can help you with just let me know as i know a lot about computers thanks

  • UR ARE AWSOME THANQ u have just teached an Unbelievabely Newb Sony vagas User : D and turned him into semi-Pro :] bless ya! =D

  • Thanks so much for the great instructional videos. You have helped a technically challenged Grandma begin to understand how to edit videos! Can you tell me why I don't get any audio when I import the .avi videos that I have on my computer. They play fine from my computer but just the video part is there when I import it to Vegas. I have version 10.

  • Your voice is like the same with Andrew Kramer!

    Thumbs Up if you agree!

  • @CraigTube Hey there! Wow! You're great teaching how to use this software! Even my first language is not English I can understand you so clear. I'm very glad I found your channel. Thanks a lot! =)

  • thank you sooooo much !!!! That helped me a lot.

  • thank you very much. your work is very well done

  • Why is it every time I go to the FX choices and I pic 1 there is not a time line on the bottom of the effect box. I cant move the effect in a time line so it only stays in 1 position. So I went to the pic to c if that worked and it only moved the pic not the effect. How do i add the time line in order to make the effect move. I have Sony Vegas 9 movie maker.

  • you are amazing really helped me and your other videos are great to..thanks a LOT :)

  • Thank you, Excellent tutorial, though I have a question, I'm trying to get rid of some black screen that's on for about 6 seconds at the beginning of my clip but when I split it and remove the unwanted part I'm left with an empty space at the start of the time line and I can't move my clip to the beginning, it's as if there was a ghost clip on.

  • @nicoargca That's strange. I don't know what could cause that.

  • Thanks! The presentation was clearly explained with clear video and audio (unlike some others' tutorials). Really explained the basics clearly and helped me understand what using Sony Vegas is like.

  • THX THIS VIDEO HELPED ME OUT ALOT KEEP GOING i looked at all the editing program videos and this was by by far the beast it explained everything really well other ppls vids just get me confused but this totally helped me i was thinking of just stopping editing lol i used wmv= to simple for me i want something more advanced THX SO MUCH UR AWESOME

  • subscribed, i think ill need to watch your vids. thanks!

  • wow thanks alot man! u helped me big time!

  • ty , i am using movei vegas hd 9, is that going to work in this kind of software

  • ur so kind!! than u so much! GoD bless u ^^

  • i have a question when i create a project the videos fine then when i try to edit it the video zooms in for some reason:(

  • that is strange. Make sure the video that you are using is the same size/format that you have set in your project properties. For example, if the video is 1024 x 768, and your project is set to 720 x 480, the video format would be too big and may crop or zoom, as you said. Maybe you're shooting in Hi Def. I would need to know more about what format your video is shot in.

  • ok thanks i think i have sorted it now dont now wat happend but now its ok thanks for the help an great vid

  • Hey you rock! I just started using vegas and thought how hard can this be to trim footage? Your video saved me, thanks a lot and looking forward to any future tutorials you will have.

  • TY! this video helped me a lot. one question what if i want to take like say a screenshot of a video like make it pause for a second and then keep going

  • Use the velocity envelope by right clicking on the clip in the track and choosing "insert/remove envelope" then choose "velocity". There will a green line. Double click the line to create points where you can change the envelope and control the speed of the clip. Create 2 points where you want to slow or stop the clip. Drag the second one down to slow or stop your clip. Right click on the second point and type "0" for zero speed or pause. Two more points will allow you to return to normal speed.

  • o thanks :D ty very much for the quick reply very helpful!

  • Thanks alot :)

  • Thanks craig :)

btw Whats the best version of vegas in your opinion? I use 9 cause its newest :|

  • I think 8 or 9 are the best. I still use 8 because I don't see enough difference in 9, other than a color change in the interface. If you go back to 7, it doesn't have multi camera capabilities.

  • how did you capture the tutorial with your screen ??

  • thank you dude ^_^

  • Hello!

Im trying to find an info, how to glue the two cuts together. Like just the other way around as you do with "S" key (making one out of two).

    Thanks!

    5/5

  • You can't make one clip out of two, but you can group them together so that they stick together as one. Hold down the ctrl key and click on each clip to highlight both of them. Then right click on one of them and select "group" and then "create new". Now the two clips will stick together and act as one.

  • Thank you very much! I think this will work good enaugh :)

  • Thank you for showing me the slice, I've been trying to find out for a while. I couldn't understand how windows movie maker and adobe premiere both had slice tools but Sony didn't XD

    Thanks

  • Very good tips about the preferences. I found the trimming very tedious until you showed me that. Really good job 5/5 from me.
