@blarson12 most of the time yes but not always for instance at the time it came out the first gsxr 750 was more powerful then some bigger bikes but as a rule bikes like that are an exception
@billboy1616 Yes, like horse power, cc is just a way of rating a vehicles power. Also there are many other things that determine a vehicles power. Just like a computer, if you have a powerful CPU BUT all your other components are not, they then become the bottle necks and therefore will prevent your computer from being at its best.

@igorgrubac i know what your saying, but for me its very hard to beat the feel you get back from a 996 if at all...ive riddin a 1198s while my bike was gettin a service at my local italia dealer & apart from better brakes & more horse i much prefer my 996 plus its a heck of alot more MONEY just for 2 more factors...i would never sell my 996....saving at the mo for a augusta f4...:D save riding
@Royst I couldn't agree with you more. I have a 2000 996S and had the chance to ride a new 848 while mine was in for service. And you are right. The 996 has a soul, it talks to you, you are more connected with the road. The 848 was frankly, numb, and the newer engine, (while smoother, and making more power than the 996) just doesn't have the character of the old 996. And the iconic look of the 916, 996,998 bikes will never fade.
my dads got exactly the same bike except its in red haha. ive been on the back of it with him and i shat my pants when we went flat out! had to stop at 130mph down rockingham's passage roads lol.

@blarson12 yeah the 916 is about 900cc and the 996 surprise surprise is 996cc hence the name hope this helps
