This beginning is so absurd, I hate it when movies and TV shows have kids going mental when they learn about sex. Young kids DO NOT care and the younger they are the less they care. Worst case they usually don't really get it or say 'ew that's gross' but they DO NOT CARE! Plus kids that age should know that stuff anyway - as if they're all so sheltered.
