@theteenkitchen I would suppose that they would work, but your other types or grapes don't have the bold flavor of the concord grapes. I would just go to the freezer section and get a can of purple grape juice concentrate and make the grape juice and use that for your sorbet. Let me know how it turns out.
@britsluver The brand is Rival. It's technically, as sold by Rival, a "Frozen Yogurt" maker. Same thing. It churns and turns and chills. That is what you need. Would it be helpful if I reviewed some equipment sometime for the viewers?
i needed to try your ice cream recipies but dont have an ice cream maker(real one anyway) so i pulled out my dairy queen toy ice cream maker. hand turning and painful! but works
@fackthatshat I must say that I'm impressed by you inventiveness to go the toy ice cream maker. I've also seen a system which uses a gallon jar (like a big plastic mayo jar) in which you put the ice cream mixture. Then, you place the jar in a waterproof sack with ice in it. Then you roll, shake and toss the bag until the mixture is churned and frozen. It's used on the front of a 4x4 to make ice cream in the wilderness!
Organic Sugar, is a much less Abrasive type of sugar, & is never bleached.
It costs a little bit more in the Health Food store, but will not ROT you teeth, or your veins, if used in moderation. Otherwise you can use Raw Agave syrup, or Xylitol from Birch wood (online it's only $55 for 10 lbs).
Also THANK God, we have SEEDED grapes in Eastern Europe, where I come from.
Nice Video, well done…have access to a grape vine, going to do this less the lime juice in substituting with apple cider vinegar in adding a fresh tomato base and use for bbq sauce for baby-back ribs. This video caused me to think outside the box in what you can actually do with fresh concord grapes.
The consistency of that looks awesome! I'm in the UK, so no such grapes here =/ This sorbet looks great. I made the lemon icecream you showed some time ago and it was great. I'm just impressed with how well your ice cream maker froze the mixture. I have a Philips ice cream maker that uses a disc instead of a tub, and it's horrible to freeze. Yours isn't even the freezeable type and it churns the ice cream so much better!
@ferbrz This time I used a crushed ice instead of the ice cubes I used with the Lemon Ice Cream. The crushed ice packed around the container much better and as you saw, really froze the mixture. No Concord Grapes in England? Do you have commercial grape juice there? The sorbet would work with any grape juice I'm sure.
@YourProduceGuy Yep, I really saw a difference there, this mixture came out like something from an industrial ice cream mixer, really smooth. I've never seen Concord grapes here. I also haven't seen commercial grape juice but that's because I haven't looked for it. Now that you're saying that it works, I'll try to find it and I'll make this recipe. It's supposed to be fall here but the weather is more like summer during this week. If I don't find it, I'll use normal juice instead. Gotta try it!
@ferbrz you should be able to get similar grapes at the least from a farm shop at the right time of year, its worth the hastle to get some good grapes .
im trying your recipe with honey instead of sugar and im dehydrating it. i hope to post a response video very soon with my grape nut fruit leather. waves~~
@aRawLifestyle Cooking them releases the flavor and goodness from the skins. That's also where all the purple color comes from too. Just juices grapes (as in pressed) would not yield the same results.
Didn't know that u could get fresh concords outside of this area (great lakes) Welches is king. Lots of wimeries use concord.

This same exact desert as single serving could cost at least $15-$20 at a restaurant.
