  • it gets scary when it's at it's epic pointsss!

  • i want to download this but i'd be too creeped out to hear it on my own haha

  • This music is just the Prologue written by Tchaïkovski himself, and the dance of the film is to compare to an interpretation of the Bolschoï ballet.

Please be more curious about the real Swan Lake and the real dancers that interpret it wonderfully...

  • @TrailerMaker9636 Believe it or not, that was a reference to Cronenberg's remake of The Fly.

  • Great movie, it was brilliant. One of my ultimate favorites.

  • why in hell black swan soundtrack was NOT nominated at the Oscars?

  • @LittleRe012 Its because he mixed music with the original music from the ballet :( So it was technically not an ORIGINAl soundtrack by him..unfortunately.

  • @12HE95 yeah, you said it, unfortunately :(

  • @LittleRe012 Because most of the songs were written quite a while ago...

  • I like how Clint Mansell uses tracks from Swan Lake, and then just creates a kind of remix.

  • Black Swan was a beautiful story created into a movie <3

  • Guys, watch the video on this link (put youtube in the URL first)....this is how this scene looks in the REAL Swan Lake ballet!

  • which part of the ballet do they play this song??? Just curious because i love the beginning of it! Spectacularly beautiful!

  • @nhiapthao its at the start of the movie, when shes dreaming of dancing the white swan

  • @swodoise111 Oh, no i meant in the original scores from Swan Lake the Ballet.

  • @nhiapthao oh well i saw a comment on this vid that said that it was the swan lake theme played backwards. If thats not true then im pretty sure that it wasnt actually an original song from the ballet

  • @nhiapthao Its the prolog, where odette is turned into a swan

  • Es increíble el sountrack de esta película, es cautivadora, suave y fuerte ala vez sutil y elogiante, sobresale en todo momento y te lleva a un segundo plano

  • A horror version of a Swan Lake song =O

  • C'est juste magnifique!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I do not understand why The Social Network won the oscar for best original score over Black Swan.

  • @Steelidea And Inception! Both were wonderfull

  • Indeed

  • @Steelidea I believe this didnt qualify for best score since it used musical pieces from swan lake through much of the film, hence it wasnt an 'original' score. But its great all the same

  • That's weird, might as well be like that for The Social Network's score which contains songs from The Beattles and such. I like them both but still I'm kinda over the fence about the subject.

  • @Steelidea Well it depends on the actual soundtrack CD. A lot of movies borrow songs from other artists, but they don't include them on the soundtrack (usually original pieces only go on them). In the Black Swan soundtrack, Tchaikovsky excerpts were all over the place, so I guess they decided it wouldn't be fit to win an original score award

  • @Steelidea I don't understand too..Black Swan is wonderful, amazing...

  • @Steelidea Black Swan was eliminated from the best original score category because some of the song's were bits and pieces of Tchaikovsky's .

  • @Steelidea Because Black Swan used Tchaikovsky's music, so it is not all original.

  • natalie, a magnificent actrees

  • <3

  • oh my gosh..amazing film and music!

  • It's the Swan Lake theme backwards!

  • in the last seconds of this piece ... as the violin fades away nina is staring into the air and one doesnt know if she is seeing the dance or dreaming, i guess that sets the tone of the movie

  • this music was performed by daria dmitrieva at 2009 in mie and this movie is just amazing i watched it several times but i still want to watch it..*.* i love it<3

  • *sigh* What is Rebecca Black's Friday video doing in the suggestions list of this masterpiece?

  • Quelle grande musique !

  • That movie was amazing.. there is no other movie like this one ... sadly :(

  • @KittyKatKawai I know! There is no one like Aronofsky. I hope when I become a director I can make films as amazing as this. Probably not though. His films are so complex.

  • i know this movie just came out a few months ago but this is probably one my favorite soundtracks

  • if you see the scene with this number it is more and more beautifull <3 but the song is beautifull 2 ;)

  • thats it I am getting this soundtrack.

  • inception & black swan are two of the most wonderful, beautiful movies I have ever seen in my life!

Make more movies like these, please!

  • perfect beginning for an incredible movie

  • I love the restament on the brass at 2:04. It almost makes you wish the ballet had more brass.

But this is confusing, I wonder how it is possible to include this as "Nina's Dream" in a CD - this is literally the Prologue to the ballet, the whole thing intact, as far as I can tel...

  • "I felt it, t was perfect" By Nina Sayers!!!

  • this song sounds really nice to listen.

  • the perfect start for a perfect movie

  • I think this opening track defined the whole movie.

  • favourite bit 0:30 - 1:05

  • this is the prologue -- where Rothbart casts his Spell

  • Movies soundtrack GOD indeed.

  • Love the movie. I'll never can hear this Swan's Lake Music without seeing pictures of blood and black an white feathers <3 GREAT WORK!

  • 1:40 = total eargasm every single time i listen to it... and it makes me want to dance the part of Von Rothbart, LOL!

  • Clint Mansell... if people weren't worshiping you before,

the sure as hell should be now.

  • @Monica411Live

You know, Clint Mansell didn't actually compose this.. Tchaikovsky did.

  • clarinet? obe? in the begining?

  • @jedikas93 It's oboe, yea.

  • Can't believe this only has as many views as it does, this was easily my favorite part of the movie, especially the recurring theme to it.

  • thank you so much for uploading this. i just got back from watching it and it was spectacular.
