That`s really great! One of the best vids I`ve ever seen - wonderful - thank you! Danny was such a fabulous actor, singer, entertainer ... so adorable ....
@murmurvision thank you so much dear friend. i remember the first scene i ever saw was of mr. kaye in wonder man playing a russian singer alergic to flowers. that scene there, changed my life.
I keep coming back to watch this! I'm also glad to see how many views it's had since I first left some comments - it definitely deserves them . :] Great editing, wonderful track, love the quotes - what a perfect tribute. Again, amazing job, thanks for uploading. <3
@BartimaeusTrilogyFan dear friend, i'm so happy you came back to rematch this montage. i was planning it for quite a while and picking the right song. still hans zimmer is one of my favorite all time composers and i always seem to end up choosing his song. thank you so very much for your words, it makes my heart sing, honestly it does, to hear you say that. it made my evening really reading your comment just now. i hope you are having an amazing life wherever you are. thank you.
This is so beautifully done! I loved it so much, I keep coming back to watch it again and again. Wonderful editing job! I always get a chesire cat smile when watching it, especially The Court Jester fencing scene in slow motion. Again, simply beautiful!
@Neverland110 dear friend, it means so very much to me to hear you say that. thank you so much. i'm do grateful you are enjoying my video. that's such a wonderful an amazing feeling. i loved court jester. he was sublime in it. it took me quite some time to get those slo mo scenes right as i wanted them and at the end when i saw the final cut it gave me such pleasure watching how it all came together. so, thank you again and i hope you are having an amazing time wherever you are.
2:15 (scene from Court Jester when he's obviously "snapped on") was PERFECTLY timed with this music. I was just wondering before that if it could get better. Bravo! Awesome!
@mindysioux13 thank you so much for taking the time to watch this video and for leaving such a wonderful comment. nothing pleases me more than to see people enjoy something i've created. "the court jester" is and awesome movie and when i was selecting scenes from it for the video i had such a wonderful time. i knew the fencing scene had to be in there straight away. it's so wonderful to see danny enjoying himself so much. i enjoy every time i watch his movie too. take care.
I watched this video over an hour ago and still can't stop smiling and laughing. The music is stuck in my head and scenes from Danny Kaye's movies are flashing in my mind. Microbiology homework is especially difficult when you keep imagining Danny Kaye fencing Basil Rathbone in slow motion. Bravo. :)
@Duwacky "Microbiology homework is especially difficult when you keep imagining Danny Kaye fencing Basil Rathbone in slow motion."
my dear friend, hope your homework went alright after all. thank you for sharing your wonderful thoughts with me. you know i had quite a difficult time chosing the scenes from the fencing sequence because the whole sequence workes so well. i could have used them all! but still had to chose. thank you so much and hope you have a wonderful monday at school. mo
@angloyank oh, such a sweet thing to say. thank you so much again. i'm so glad you took a little time out to smile ;-). every time i watch this video i smile. no matter what. if i'm having a dull day or sad day or a frustrating day... danny always makes me smile. it's so good to hear you're smiling too ;-) hope you finished your work and that you are happy with the results. wishing you a wonderful week my friend.
This is really unique - Danny would have been proud of it, and what a wonderful tribute to a truly fabulous entertainer. A real treat for us fans.Thank you.
@MsBedwell "Danny would have been proud of it" thank you so much for your kind words. this day started for me quite badly and your comment picked me right up. i hope you are having a lovely day and wishing you all the best.
@BartimaeusTrilogyFan i'm thrilled you like the video. i never dreamed while i was making it that it will bring so much happiness to all of you. thank you very much and hope you have a lovely day :-) really keen observation you made on the movements. that's exactly why i chose these clips. danny's movements say so much. they can tell you everything...
@bemoia Of course! Tis so well done, aligning those clips as perfectly as you did must have taken ages! But I love it. <3 And they do, hey do. I hope you have a lovely day as well! :)
@RorySr thank you very much. it was such fun making it. had a smile on my face all thru the editing process. danny is such a wonderful man. i'm really happy you like the video.
Seeing clips from The Court Jester brought back some nice childhood memoires..This sums up Danny,,,The Court Jester...But he did have a serous side.Somewhat like Charlie Chaplin..
@TheSubAtomicBicycle that's what i thought. the scenes from "wonder man" when he's trying to pick up the glass. i can definitely see some chaplin in there. though i still believe danny did marvelously refine those movements. thank you for sharing you'r thoughts, danny really was marvelous in the cour jester. in his biography i read that the whole cast of the court jester were laughing almost all the time while making it. and it's definitely on there. the energy.
@Toracube same here. these days we have a bunch of wanna-be's that came out of nowhere and are probably gonna end up there as well. but danny, he will always remain as a bright shining star on the everlasting sky of the great ones.
@spiderorchid81 dear friend, thank you for taking the time to watch my video and thank you for your words. danny kaye truly was a wonder man in every way. i believe he is and ever will be one of a kind entertainer. thank you once again and i hope you are having a very lovely evening.
@bemoia You're very welcome! ^_^ I'm glad you enjoyed my comment - I certainly enjoyed your vid (I re-watch it every once in a while, it's so much fun. Thanks again for sharing this).
@immortalinvisible i'm so glad you like it. thank you so much for sharing your feelings. looking forward to listening to the danny kaye radio shows you're posting. the first one from 1945 is awsome.
Wow! You've put together so many great moments of Danny having a blast with life--and sharing it with us! I broke into a smile from the very beginning and still have a silly grin stuck on my face. :-D
You included so many of my favorites, but also helped me notice a few in a different light: 2:06 - Those slow-mo clips show just how much sheer and absolute fun he was having fencing! 0:33 (and then 1:11) - Great catch of his ability with what I call his "gentle moments."
@mattiescottage thank you very much for letting me know how much you like this video. it's wonderful to hearsomething i made brought joy to someone else. i have to tell you it was such great time editing this video. i mean danny was such a wonderful actor i could use any scene i wanted. you know the fencing scenes, i used slow-mo exactly because i wanted to show how much fun he was having. amazing what you can discover watching frame by frame. and at 0:33 i also used slow-mo for enhancement.
S'wonderful, S'marvelous, What a clip. What an art!.. you're really talented in video creation :D.. Although I dedicated my channel to my one and only Danny Kaye.. I must confess, YOU R THE BEST!... simply the best...Thank you ever so much for moving my feelings strongly again towards Danny's wonderful movies..
@moontender thank you for sharing your feelings with me. it means the world to me finding out that someone else shares the same wonderful thoughts. i'm honored to see that you like my video so much. that makes me very happy. there's so much more i want to say about danny kaye and hopefully i'll get that chance very soon. thank you again for your kind words it really means a lot to me.
@mazay83 thank you my dear friend. i'm very glad you like this video so much.
i've spent quite some time choosing the clips, editing them, making some run faster or slower to match the musical score, trying to fit the scenes as if danny himself was conducting the score. thank you again.

It's a lovely, entertaining tribute, thanks for sharing!
As one of his biographers wrote: Danny Kaye was truly unique. Or, as they say repeatedly in "Wonder Man": "What a guy!" ^_^

Though he was not a gladiator -
