Back here in the States, a stadium for our version of Football oppened in 2009 for a team called the Dallas Cowboys, also known as "America's Team". It's the world's biggest domed structure and has a seating capacity of over 100,000. I'm just curious how these stadiums would compare to it. Anyone have any ideas?
@tommoore2012 Well, Ukraine and Poland are no big football-nations and do not make very much money out of TV-Contracts, etc. - So their new stadiums may look impressive but they are certainly no match for a western European or US-American arena...
@SuperJuliusC who's to say they won't eventually get one though? You're not going to believe this, but do you know what country has the stadium with the world's biggest seating capacity? North Korea, 150,000. If someone like Korea can get a stadium that massive, than just imagine how big the western world and mid europe could build stadiums if that was their primary objective
@tommoore2012 Well if you would have read my comment the right way you`d probably recognized my point: I wasn`t speaking about capacities - Everyone can build a "huge stadium"...
I was much more talking about the "gadgets" those stadiums have. For example: The Mönchengladbach Arena has a capacity of almost 50.000 seats and was build for about 60 Million Euro. The Allianz-Arena has a capacity of 70.000 and was build for 340 Million Euro. The number of seats has nothing to do with comfort, etc..
@tommoore2012 And if you say that they`ll probably get huge TV-contracts, etc.: Even if they would get "new ones" they still wouldn`t be a match for England, Spain, Germany, Italy, Russia, France...
But that doesn`t matter so much in Europe because if the population is really interested in football (which they are) they`ll come to the stadiums anyway.
It`s not like in South Africa, South Korea or Japan where they can´t do anything anymore with those arenas.
@tommoore2012 The reason why North Korea has the biggest stadium by capacity is because that stadium doesn't have individual seats. This way you can squeeze as much people as you want inside it, if Barcelona's Nou Camp stadium wouldn;t have individual seats either, their capacity would around 210.000
@tommoore2012 no its not it only has capacity for 80,000(for now) but it can reach 100,000 if they remodel it ...the biggest domed structure in the U.S is the Georgia dome(in atlanta ,georgia, usa)get ur facts right if u dont believe me look it up the biigest dome structure in the world is the millennium dome (in london)
@tommoore2012 Compared to Cowboys Stadium, these stadiums are much smaller. But you actually can't compare U.S. "American' football stadiums with european soccer stadium. They are build for a whole different purpose and are meant to radiate a whole different atmosphere. Nice stadium in Arlington btw.
@tommoore2012 "euro 2010 stadiums" video, and u post this comment ?!? Who gives a fuck about dallas cowboys or americas team?? if I wanted to watch dallas cowboys I would write dallas cowboys in search bar!! gtfo and leave us enjoyin football !!!
@TheKev3010 Krakow isn't a Euro 2012 venue. They were on the shortlist to host Euro 2012 games, but didn't make it eventually. It's a pitty though, they have a very nice stadium
Honestly? The idea of roads and motorways in Poland isn't working out. I reccomend you fly by an airplane or go around the main way which is going to Wroclaw. I went on that motorway 2 months ago... Its terrible. I hate to say it because I come from Poland but thats the truth. The road to Wroclaw is more like Romania and not Poland... Trust me its 50km long and they are not going to repair it before euro 2012. There are so many holes in that motorway its unbelieveable, you can only go 70km/h...
I don't understand, why Poland is having Euro with Ukraine... Ukraine WTF!? why not with our real good neighbours like czechs or germany? wth this is stupid.
Good luck, i was very sad when i knew it wont do in Cratia and Hungary, but I am very happy that you won and not Italy (that have made a lot of euros, world cups and olympic games). It's good to see that other countries can organize this things. Good luck my brothers! (I'm Hungarian) ;)
the best stadium : warsow and gdansk

Euro 2016 will be in France, 2020 will probably at last go to Turkey, 2024 will be in a third world country like Romania, Hungary or Bulgaria...
UEFA should remember who makes them money and not only who costs them...

@tommoore2012 The North Korean stadium has a capacity of 150.000 but it is basically only a big pile of cement and steel.
The ukrainian and polish stadiums are looking great but they are certainly no "Five-Star-Arenas"...
