That habitat haves a panda(my virtual panda)who looks like Fyda. Haves her clothes, her castle, and more!!!

Diese Musik bringt Erinnerungen an früher Zeiten, wo Spiele vor Kreativität platzten, es noch noch epische Musik gab, und die Story wichtiger war als die Grafik, kurz, an Zeiten wo so viele Spiele so nah an der Perfektion waren wie es nur ging...

Fyda has a female yet serious theme in this game, it was always a mark in the game when there was a step up, this theme simply fits.

You don't see games like this anymore, hold them close. Terranigma is a Masterpiece and also deliveres serious social messages, that's why it was banned in America, because it encouraged thinking. While as kid you don't think about this very much, but the subconciousness carries it until you understand it. A very deep game indeed.

@Fiddlestickz1 It was never "banned" in America, it just was never released. Enix America had closed their doors and ceased operations in 1995, well before the game was ever translated into English. "Critical thinking"? Let's talk about that. SoulBlazer was released just fine in the US to critical acclaim, and featured the story of a wicked king who sold the souls of all living things to a demon for the bargain of 1 gold apiece. Far more "dark and sinister" than Terranigma.

an english translation does exist btw (for the UK market)

it wasn't brought to the US because of the religious motives in the game

since you're obviously playing a god creating a mostly nonfictional (our) world.. well some crazy people saw parallels in that i guess

as far as i recall the world of soul blazer is fictional

@Keh0ol Never said Enix did the translation, either. Nintendo of Europe did. And it wasn't BANNED in the US. It came out in Japan in 1995. By that time, the Super NES had already DIED in the US Market in favor of next-gen systems (PSX 1995/n64 1996), By the time Nintendo of Europe translated it, nobody cared anymore. The head of Enix himself said simply that he had "no faith in the North American market", in reference to sales of JRPG's at the time. Nothing AT ALL about content was said.

@Keh0ol NOA was notorious for simply censoring things they thought would offend Americans. It was simply a non-issue by this time. I mean, after all, we never got Dragon Quest 5 and 6, both AMAZING SNES titles, but by then, NOA had decided, apparently, that no Enix titles would be seen after the shutdown in 1994 of Enix of America. I've never found a official source that said otherwise, even the trade magazines at the time said "shame SNES is dead". I agree, though. Real shame across the board.

Ich habe dieses Spiel auch über alles geliebt und als ich es damals verloren habe habe ich es mir für 50€ sogar nochmal gekauft weil ich es einfach haben wollte. Es haften so viele schöne Erinnerungen an diesem Spiel und leider verbreiten die meisten Spiele heutzutage nicht mehr diese Stimmung. Zumindest gibt es nur wenige Spiele auf die ich nicht verzichten will und eins ist Terranigma

muss dir leider zustimmern. es gibt kaum mehr spiele die ein solches flair verbreiten. vielleicht liegt es daran, dass ich damals noch jünger war oder vielleicht werden spieleentwickler heutzutage einfach immer unkreativer. wie dem auch sei, terranigma kann wirklich nicht von vielen spielen getoppt werden!!

I dunno why but I was equally as fond of Fyda as Elle for Ark. I mean times I thought "Screw the Princess! Pick Fyda".

I think it all started in that scene where he's lying in bed wondering when he started becoming all docile, taking orders from Fyda :)

sowas muss man original zu hause haben. emulatoren DARF man schon gar nicht in den mund nehmen wenns um sowas wie Terranigma geht! dieses spiel ist der absolute wahnsinn (nicht blöd dahergesagt) ES IST SO! da kommt kein einziges RPG ran. auch kein Gothic oder sonstiges. dieses spiel war der wegbereiter der heutigen RPGs und zudem war es perfekt! so ein gamefeeling kann man nicht in worte fassen, man muss es erlebt haben und es waren mit die schönsten spielerinnerungen meines lebens.

Story,Music and Emotions made this game so freakin beautiful.

Somehow sad to know there will never be again a feeling like this in new generation games but we still have Terranigma!^^

Nicht angeblich, es gibt nahezu alles auch für Emulatoren, kommt zwar nicht an die Originale ran aber immer noch besser als ohne solche Spiele-Perlen zu leben.

Ich habs sowohl als Origianl als auch als Emulator, und ich muss sagen der Emulator kommt bei weitem nicht an das Feeling ran. Und das obwohl ich meinen Playstation2-Kontroller an den PC angeschlossen habe und mich auf einen Sessel gesetzt habe.

SNES ist einfach immernoch das beste! :)
