hi, as a GBS patient, i just wanted to let you know that bypass is a VERY darastic surgery and should only be considered as a LAST option. however, they do not remove and of your stomach. it is all still there, just re routed, and it still produces acid and aids in digestion. the band is only a good alternative for some people, for people over 100lbs over weight, the bypass is the best option. also people who have the band, their hair can also fall out, and they also have to take vitamins.
Hi!I am really considering this option to loose weight. Here, in Panama I see more and more people that are using this system to loose weight and what they say is that its the best thing they have done in their lives. Of course its up to each individul to decide what's best for him/she but definately, this is a good alternative to look for. Thanks for your video =)
My cousin did it twice and almost died from it. She did it twice - the first time regaining all the weight. She spent last summer laying in a hospital bed for weeks on the verge due to infections... she did come out of it and has now lost all the weight again.
Good info. But for me my kaiser insurance does not provide the lap band. The director of the bariatric program said "Due to your body mass index and weight, a procedure that results in a higher weight loss would be more appropriate." There is a faster weight loss with Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass (RNY)
yeah i did read that the weightloss was faster with gastric. thats a shame your insurance doesnt cover lapband, its like you should have a choice ya know?

the girl that i work with had the lap band
done. for a week before her operation she had
to stick to a liquid diet. it took 4/12 hours
and she was out the following day. shes lost
weight its coming off pretty slow. to date
shes lost over 80lbs. over the holidays shes
put some weight back on so shes going in to
have the band tightened. i personally am not
for these things. but to each their own.
