  • GREAT GREAT GREAT !!!

  • NUTHIN SPECIAL HERE! IF YOU CLAIMIN TO BE SOME BIGTIME SP 1200 BEATMAKER? COME WITH SOME SHIT THAT SOUNDS COMPLETE! OTHERWISE! STAY IN YOUR FUCKIN BEDROOM AND PRACTICE SOME MORE!!

  • @ozulu45 if you don't think this is good shit then either you don't know what good beats are, or you just need to get your fucking head checked or both

  • @simbaricoproductions DO YOU EVEN OWN A SP1200? maybe you should use one instead of playin on that computer with all your stolen bootleg CUBASE,REASONS AND PROTOOLS GARBAGE software ! ohh and dont forget to use autotune for your next song!! if you cant even use a turntable then dont even speak BITCH!

  • what is more valuable and has more braggin rights 2 own a sp1200 or tr 808

  • Props son! Crazy nice

  • and guys... it's not only the unique sp1200, it is the audio coming completely from vinyl, no lossy mpeg1 layer3/ogg/wma encoder. Plus J.Force got an outstanding good ear. The choice and cut of his samples is what makes it so great. The SP1200 is still just a sampler, it's J.FORCE and his samples that rock!

  • @ all the omfg emulation software smartasses...

There is a free 12bit sampler VST named sd2100 around... I chopped up some samples yesterday and run em through it, sounds nice but can't get even close to the sp1200's organic rawness.I added eq+comp+bitcrusher (all on cubase 5) and got closer, tried automatic swing (quantize <100%) tried adding it w/ MPK49 pads but the swing seems to be impossible to reproduce. I couldn't get a real sp1200 outta my comp but it def. is a low budget solution!

  • I don't think anything about the SP has anything to do with the swing... It's about that grit. The swing isn't that hard to come by. If it was we would all be scrounging for an SP. The MP swing is probably better but still not unattainable. You can find the swing for that with logic. Just have to look. Now getting that SP "sound" is near impossible, I won't doubt that.

  • @JohnnieTech2

gonna try the old sp1200 thing with recording samples from sped up (72rpm) vinyl and playing it in real time or slower if I got the time. I wonder if there's any blueprints and wiring diagrams of the sp1200 on the net, just a bit curiosity and the idea of maybe rebuilding it :D

  • Dope!!! You can't beat that sound of rawness from the sp 1200!

  • @airram479

that wasn't to call you out... i was just stating the obvious --

replication, emulation... same difference. trying to be all technical and whatever... c'mon... true heads know the deal. you're advertising and misinforming the public; you even stated it below, "you don't need to purchase an SP to get that kind of sound quality. there is software on the market that will replicate that era of grime."

    salty!

  • no way their is any software on the market that could emulate the SP-12(00). Sure, the average listener couldn't tell... but Real recognize Real. And that's all that matters in hip-hop culture! Fakin' Jax... I believe is the correct term for dudes using software to emulate an SP.

  • fresh beat whats the beat playin @ 0:47?

  • MMAAANNNN!!!!!!!! Tight organ b3 sample

  • ooooooh I love the sound, that oldschool flavour

  • that sample is raw!

  • without a doubt the 1200

  • people think im a fool for saying emu sp,s and mpc sounds warmer and better in hiphop!!

tomuch software cats nowdays dont know real hiphop!!!

    this si my point

he didnt even mixed anything, check how nice the drums sounds!!!

in software you can first trow ampletubes or t dirts over your drums if you wanne make it sound clean

  • word!

  • Again....this what hip hop is....Keep preservin the culture and the art of boom bap Force. Easy.

  • Him messing with the mixer was completely pointless haha.

    Anyways, Big ups!

    Beat is crazy dope

  • im suing...these damn drum done nearly knocked me unconcious

  • Me too. as soon as the vid started to play I bobbed off my chair an broke a hip.

  • damn.. best beat ive seen on the sp 1200.. probably better ones out there tho cause i dont look up the 1200 a lot.. cause im dealin wit mp's

  • Intro's drum patter is reminscent of Premo's "kick in the door",i got a lil bored, but it's hot If u did the one at :50 i'm a FAN cuz dat shit waz classic and chilled

  • And the main joint has exactly the same kick-snare pattern as Mobb Deep's "Shook Ones Pt. II," but the drum kit is different. Peace.

  • these aren't anybody's drum patterns... they're just classic rock drum patterns that was adopted heavily by raw hip-hop producers in the late 80's early to mid 90's. Rock drum patterns are an integral part of East Coast style hip-hop. ++ DRUMAT!C

  • word, drumatic knows what hes talking about.

  • dats real fuuuuuuunky

  • "Bull's Eye,direct hit,don't miss.If I was to hit ya,did ya think that I would miss?"

  • I wanna do like that 2

  • I've never used an SP-12 before but I am dying to...

  • The intro beat reminds me of "Triumph" by Wu-Tang

  • Real shit--lovin' it! Peace.

  • Nice!!

  • Intro's the best, reminds me of B.I.G.'s "Kick In The Door" w/ a soulful twist

  • monster beat!
