  • Thanks for this great version. I am tackling it too, on steel string...oh boy. WOn't be as complete as yours I am afraid. Excellent job!!!

  • Ok,maybe I used a wrong term, but you have to agree that most el. guitarist play single line melodies...Have a nice day(considering that it is about 6 a.m. in the States)! Now I'm going to bed with Nachtmusik playing in my head! It should be a good nap...

  • Now I fell pretty stupid...I've checked your profile and found out that you're a el. guitarist yourself.I should be more careful to who I'm teaching to recognize differences between musical instruments .That Blue Bossa jam was great...Very fluid, but tasteful licks...

  • Thanks but the guitar is anything but monophonic. If it were it would only have one string.

  • Anyways,I liked your playing!Be well...

  • so how much does one of those acoustic 8 strings go for??

  • Erm.. I'm just speechless.. Great job!

  • Awesome man! Keep up the good work.

  • great man ... i just love Mozart and a good Rock n' roll too ... and by the way nice glasses hehehe...

  • You should consider a new nail shape for m,i, & a . b/c your melody is getting lost in the middle. Also Idk if it's your guitar but the treble strings sound thin, that could be your attack as well. Just some friendly suggestions, dig the 8 string thing though.

  • i cany get over the bomber jacket and terminator glasses. you should really think about maybe wearing a plain white T or sumthin, cuz as soon as i saw you i started this comment and negleted your music,

  • How open minded of you ;-)

  • hey dude were u here to hear some real music or do u maybe have an interest in guys and come here to check them out? So dude plz shut the hell up man how can u neglect music kuz of how the person is dressed?? sounds pretty gay to me man bet u couldnt come up with that so stfu

  • @jvela100 if youre talking to me then u should know better... u dont see anyone taking someone dressed like billy idol seriously. image isnt everything (this isnt business) , but atleast noob understood where i was coming from, it wasnt a putdown, more like a tastefull adoration. i aprec iate style. not faggots who remark on idle subtleties.

  • @pedrolibres

let him where whatever the fuck he wants... why does it matter...

  • @jonnyjumpsalot i dont let anyone do shit, and if it doesnt matter than shut ur ugly face punk

  • @pedrolibres did you also neglect to make proper use of your spell check and use of proper punctuation?

  • EXCELLENT! a musical treat....

  • Very good!!!

  • great work your awesome

im still an ameteur i wish i could play as good as you

    cheers mate

  • dude... bloody well done!!! i loved it...

you're much better than i expected, most titles with 8 string guitars end up being total failures...

    fair fucks to you mate!

  • HaHa...I don;t know what "fair fucks" means, but I'll take it, thanks!

  • very awesome sir

  • very well done!

  • beautiful. masterfully done.

  • Thanks for you kind words! Although this piece can be played on a 6 string, I don't really think justice can be done to this piece on 6 string, as I have tried. This concerto was the reason I got an 8 string. If you play it with 6 strings, you will have to leave out certain bass notes which will make it sound thinner, ut yeah it can be done.

  • Yeah, well a finnish well-known guitarist called Costello Hautamäki has covered this song with a normal 6 stringed guitar. Check out, type Costello Jones - Eine Kleine Nachtmusik and you'll get it : )

  • HaHaHa...yeah ok, well, when Mr. Jones can play the entire piece, including the harmony and bass lines and not just the melody, without the aid of a rhythm section, on 6 strings you let me know. The difference between a "guitarist" and a "guitar player" is a guitar player needs a band to sound like something, a true guitarist needs only a guitar.

  • well said 8stringnoob

    well said

  • @8stringNoob I completely agree!!!! I remember what I was 14-15 I looked at myself and my guitar playing and was shocked that without another guitarists/singer/band I was nothing. I discovered classical guitar and now I am a one man band. Not only for classical music, but blues and other popular styles.

  • @8stringNoob Yeah, but that Costello guy is a electric guitarist. And el. guitarists are "team players" because of monophonic nature of el. guitar(unless one is using a touch technique a la Stanley Jordan) .Other examples of "single line" instruments are violin, sax, flute etc.Classical guitar is like piano or accordion. It can be used in a solo performance as well as in a band.Different instruments, different techniques...Both great,if you ask me.Now I'm being a smartass...I should stop here...

  • ¡It's so beautiful, Nice sound. The arrangement is perfect. It' yours?. I like your technique very much.

    Thanks for your sonic gift

    from Chile

  • Thanks for your kind words,Yes, it is my arrangement, this piece was the reason I got an 8 string. Ciao

  • cant it be played in 6 stringed guitar? its very beautiful. very nice vid man!! i love it 5 stars!!

  • good shit man.

never heard it this good on an 8string before.

    amazing stuff

  • Thanks...it's a beeotch

  • cool!

  • thats delicous

  • muy bueno.... maestro....

  • wow...two parts in one guitar...all I dreamed..I hope to understand the tab from the video..grat job

  • This was so beautiful, I enjoyed it very much. A perfect arrangement.

  • so well tempered bases as sopran strings too, never heard latice before!

  • Thank you. I don't think it's a lattice top, more like a "Groove" top. What I mean is, the top has these 5mm wide grooves carved lengthwise into it, and on those grooves, the top is less than 1mm. Apparently the grooves were carved at a machine shop. The amazing thing is the bracing consists of only 4 small pieces around the sound hole. This recording really dosent do it justice, when you play this guitar, you can feel the entire instrument vibrate, kind of like an Organ. It's really weird.

  • latice top?

    great stuff and response to!

  • man that was great! keep the good work!. By the way, where do you buy strings for that guitar?

  • Thanks. The Lowest string (A) is a 50 gauge the Next lowest (D) is a 45. The rest are just standard mediums. I have to use mediums on this guitar because it has an experimental top (less that 1mm thick). In fact it is so thin that you can shine a flashlight on it from 2 feet away and see light inside the guitar! Any music store should have single strings of these gauges in stock... These are Diaddario Silver wounds, I think. I have the next two movements of this concerto up on You tube. Check m

  • Awesome! Both the playing and the arrangement! I can't wait for you to publish this, though I wonder if it would not be playable on a 6-string?

By the way, WHERE do you get an 8-string classical? I've been interested in aquiring one, but not sure where to find one.

  • Thanks, I am uploading the 2nd movement as I type this, check it out. I tried arranging this piece for a 6 string and it didnt fly, too many octave shifts (having to raise the bass, and lower the leading tones) In fact, this piece was the main reason I got an 8 string. Im not saying it can't be done, but I sure couldn't do it. As far as finding a classical 8, if there are none in your local music stores, you have 2 choices, buy off the internet, or have one built by a good luthier. Good luck!!

  • So how did you find yours? Do you know a good luthier? I've found plenty on the web, but I don't have any way of knowing how good they are.

  • I found mine one ebay, you pays your money and you takes your chances I guess. I like this guitar, but the neck is REALLY wide, which makes it difficult to barre sometimes. I have another 8 string with a cutaway, that has a much narrower neck but it lacks the tone of this one.

  • Very well done! Love the Underworld look lol, kinda works for it.

  • ambitious

  • Indeed, my ultimate goal would be to have this suite standard repertoire for classical guitar. Nothing ventured nothing gained. Cheers ;-)

  • Notsation. Yes but i am in the process of arranging the entire symphony for 8 string. Right now I am in the middle of the 2nd movement, (Romanza). I am going to publish the entire serenade when it is done.

  • very very good, did you arrange the peice in notation or tab? if in notation could i get a copy?

  • Thanks, it's not easy to play, but I love this piece..

  • ..very unique and professional.

  • really good man!:)

  • I am amazed and impressed by your excellent rendition of this piece on a guitar. I would never have imagined this piece could have such a delightful effect on the guitar as it does on the piano. Hats off to you...salute!

  • very good

    keep going

  • Dude..

    This is a sickass arrangement!

I can play this on clarinet!

    Keep rockin Mr G!
