  • 4:31 hot chick's reaction... 4:34 Schiff's reaction. Someone make a .gif! This is going viral!

  • Comment removed

  • Research JACOB SCHIFF. One of the most notorious, criminal, Zionist, globalist, etc... gangster banksters of all time; who single handedly funded the Bolshevik COMMUNIST Revolution back in the early 1900s! Beware of Peter Schiff and his disinfo!

  • @blythebaby777 Peter is not related to Jacob Schiff !

  • peter schiff actually is economically illiterate when businesses screw up because of no regulation and the government bail them out he blames government. Does not criticise the banks made rediculas bets.

  • “Every nation has the government it deserves.”

(“Toute nation a le gouvernement qu’elle mérite.”) -Joseph de Maistre (1753-1821)

  • schiff speaks about capitalism as if its a defenseless child

  • @greg91ification he's correct 100%

  • @greg91ification just look at Russia 1918 or estern Europe 1945 how capitalism was able to defend itself !!

  • @arka67 In 1918 there was the revolution. The reason for it was the huge income inequality in Russia. people hated the monarchy as it was a financial burden.

The fact is a free market cannot exist its an illusion only government can maintain it. Bear in min in 2008 who did the banks run to for money it was the government. This demonstrates they have a significant role.

  • @greg91ification fact is that free market can not defend itself, it has no lobby or newspapers or TV channels.

I agree that it's a illusion to believe in complete free market, but; what we should do is to make sure we have as much as possible of freedom and free markets. That is the only way to go for human kind !!

Governments are against freedom ! alwasy were!

  • @arka67 It is freedom that caused the financial crisis zero government regualations. Do you honestly want 10 bankruptcies in the next century as the banks are still making stupid bets.To be honest no human is free to do many actions do to religion and also government.

There are certain things the free market cannot be involved in and that healthcare and education

  • @greg91ification freedom did not caused bankruptcies, Government did. Government by interfering with free market is causing financial bubbles, in 1930s and 2008 and years in between, in free market bankruptcy is part of live, week and bad managed bank should not be in business, but today Government decided who is in business, as long as you know somebody in Washington you are in business, you can get bailout or TARP, or Bernanke will print some, that is not free market that is fascism.

  • @arka67 The fact remains if the government did not intervene there would have been an international depression so it kind of needed to happen. in a true free market there is no governmental currency. I also want to point out corporatim is a direct cause of capitalism. For a company to maintain there wealth they will inevitably buy politicians for the same reason they start a business greed. greed is not allays good as it will distort the market.

  • @greg91ification I am not sure, how open minded you are, but Milton Friedman explained so good, I am sending you YT vid, I hope you have few minutes, maybe just maybe, you will stop listen to CNN, and you will open your mind. Discussion we have is ideological, you believe government is there to save us, and I believe Gov. is there to take our freedom away from us, piece by piece. I believe in Freedom and free market, you believe in Govermant. so we will not agree much !

  • @arka67 freedom is an illusion if people were free they could do anything and not get in trouble. Friedman theory is impossible as there will allways be big business. Who controls the drug indrusty a monopoly this limits the competitiveness. The same goes for the banks and the film industry. There is not a free market and in some cases no governmental intervention occured

  • @greg91ification Freedom is not illusion, we need laws and court system, which will resolve conflicts. But freedom was very much alive in 1800 and begging of 1900, and that's were we as a society we made the biggest progress in human history. Socialist German and Russian governments were killing people on industrial scale.

As long as company provide products, I have no problem with dominating market, Microsoft or Iphone, is a good example of capitalism. You are too brain washed !!

  • @arka67 your mistaken only whites were free in the 1800 black people as well as jews had much less importunity than whites. I would not really want to go back to that point. Also the russian in the 1900 seriously started developing there industry they had the potential of being a superpower so america feared them. The same is with the nazi's however evil they were they were conquering and doing amazingly economically. Also if you really are for free markets you cannot like monopolies

  • @greg91ification don't bring race in to this, has nothing to do with ideology. Russia on 1900 was a free country, till 1920, Hitler made a illusion of success, many economist will tell you, Germany were broke in 1939, and war was just a way out for them. Monopolies in today's world do not exist. and in the free market big biz. is challenged everyday, today Gov. is protecting big banks and corporations, same like in facism !

  • @arka67 you said in 1800 people were more free but it was the 1830's when slave trade ended. Even at the end blacks were exemp from a number of profession therefore in my eyes there was less freedom. If you want freedom it should be freedom for all races which occured for the US in the 1900. Monopolies do not exist but oligopolies do exist which lead to less competitiveness and therefore higher prices.

  • @greg91ification Slaves were just a fraction of society, I am talking about an average citizen 97% of people in US were free people! and they made capitalism a success, till 1913 we were able to make changes which world has never seen before, just read some history please. Then slowly gov. started to print money and tax people, and you can see wars and raise of socialism in Germany and Russia, social programs which are bankrupt now. you can see a slow collapse of gov. control economies (fascism)

  • @arka67 slaves are slaves if 1800 was so great everyone would be free not just 97%. I know my history minorities were exemp from numerous jobs in 1800. The fact of the matter is jews, blacks and other minorities were exempt from certain profession. In fact in 1923 President Lowell of Harvard advised most universities not to take jews.meaning before that they had less freedom. It was only in the 1950's when blacks were give equal rights. You appear to not know history read about king

  • @greg91ification maybe you wanted to live in 1700 or 1500 ? 1800 was enormous success, Industrial revolution? ever heard? people migrated from villages to cities! creation of middle class. World was not perfect, and it will never be perfect, but freedom, Capitalism made it possible for our society to evolve, Slavery was a government made law. antyjewish laws in Europe were government made.

But capitalism made it all possible to eliminate a lot of unjust laws and racist government policies.

  • @arka67 in the industrial revolution it was amazing but it still does not alter the fact minority groups were exempt from profession. yes there was freedom in 1800 but it was only in the 1960's there was equality for all people which is true freedom. It was not just government who benefited from slavery so did corporation and rich individuals.Capitalism did stop unjust law but it led to unjust attacks on Cuba, vietnam etc.

  • @greg91ification you are wrong !! you have to go back, to what was before, in order to criticize the presence. Jews never had rights in Europe, capitalism enable them to have full right, same as other minorities, national socialism and communism was prosecuting Jews, killing them. Freedom and capitalism was defending them, Capitalism made it possible that in 1960s, we were able to stop and reverse racist government laws. pursuid of freedom managed to liberate slaves! YOU HAVE IT ALL BACKWARDS

  • @arka67 It was not capitalism more desperation, if the blacks did not protest it would be same now. Dude even when countries were capitalistic they still had segregation that is a fact. The US is supposed to be capitalistic in 1800 and yet it was 1960 when blacks got equal rights.

  • @greg91ification how desperate were Jews in 13 or 14th century to get full right in Europe? Capitalism and freedom enable them to stand up, same as blacks! all those segregation laws were government laws, same government which is dropping bombs today or sticking fingers in your ass in airport. Read some books, about people and freedom movements and civil rights. Government is a source of evil, start all the wars, and destroys lives! That is historical fact!

  • Wow! Check out the look on her face while Peter answers her question. She wants you Peter, for sure!

  • Worth watching for the woman at 5:45,also

  • If threatened, won't the banksters just pull the pin on the whole project like they did to start WWI ?

  • Interesting.... Our economic problems started in 1980 under Reagans Tax cuts for the rich which blew up our national debt and drove down wages... Then you had free trade treaties under clinton which killed jobs and drove down wages even more.... Then again under clinton you had Glass Stegall blown up which protected us from the international investment vampires and banks. Those have all been movements towards so called "free markets" So why have things got worse and worse?????

  • @Healing6arts9 First, regulations have increased, so there is a greater move away from free market. Second, wages are up .... you couldn't dream of making $12 an hour in 1980 .... and with the fact that tech is so lightly regulated we see tech prices constantly dropping. So, name one market that is regulated heavily which has lower prices than tech?

  • @KittenKoder

    Name one regulation.

I just gave several massive examples of deregulation that have caused HUGE economic problems. I didn't even mention that the Sherman Anti trust act. Hasn't been used since Reagan. Secondly. WAGES ARE DOWN SINCE THE 1980'S... There are thousands of reports on that, not to mention its plain old common sense. What has happened to the single income Family???? Its gone!! Your assuming lower prices are always good for the economy. NOT TRUE!!!!!!

  • @KittenKoder

I demonstrated many economic problems that have resulted from supply side economics.. And your argument is that we have cheap electronics??? For god sakes our country is being destroyed economically, socially, politically but by golly we've got cheap computers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Corporations write the regulations.... It has nothing to do with more or less Reg. It has to do with corrupt Regulation. Arguing weather or not its to much or to little is a waste of time,

  • @Healing6arts9 So you think that the government meddling in the economy is free market? Come on, use your head.

  • Comment removed

  • America needs more social or socialism in its nation. Public police, fire department all of these are socialist policies or would you rather pay police and fire insurance the capitalist way and if you don't have it, the police let you get murdered and your house burn down. America needs to start looking after its people. Or America's social problems will just get worse. End this One way pure Capitalism vs socialism. Socialism isn't Communism. The Government isn't bad, only people are!

  • @kal9990

Wow you really hit it on the head!!!

  • @kal9990 "The Government isn't bad, only people are!"

...and what is Government? A bunch of people THAT HAVE POWER OVER THE MASSES.

  • @jjenson2006

The real underlying issue is not government as it is only a symptom of the problem.

The real issue is the Monetary system.

  • @bighands69 The monetary system is a symptom of government.

  • @jjenson2006

Historically Fiat currency was pushed by special interest groups and not so much government.

Fiat currency is the mechanism that allows government to produce bonds and in turn debt cycles.

Fiat currency also has a correlation with taxation and this cannot be ignored either.

I do understand your point though but it is only a reaction to the fiat currency not the cause.

  • @bighands69 But then again it was the politicians who made it legal with FIAT currency

  • @bighands69 The government has full control over the currency. Ever hear of the Federal Reserve?

  • @TheStig000

Yes I have heard of the Federal Reserve and that is also just a symptom of the problem.

The real problem is the fiat money system.

This is the mechanism that allows government to function in its current manner. If currency was gold based government would struggle to control the money supply.

At present fiat money allows government to manipulate the money supply for political reasons and Keynesian ideologies.

  • @bighands69 I agree with that statement 100%.

  • @jjenson2006 Yes people are the government. I thought they were robots overlords. sorry just joking.

Yes there are bad people in government but there are good people in it too Just like as in business The problem isnt the government Its corruption and people

The government is people, that have power over the massess but the masses voted the government in. the massess are powerful but only if they use that power. But like all political systems, the system is broken and not prefect

  • @kal9990 "but the masses voted the government in..."

I didn't vote them in. The "voting in" is the result of democracy or as Franklin put it, "Two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch".

What constitutes "good people" in government is highly opinionated.

When the majority of voters are ignorant (which they are), you wind up with a corrupt government and system as a whole.

  • @kal9990 There are evil people and ignorant people in government. There are no truly good people who would support the US Government. Look at what it does, why would you want to be associated with a criminal organization?

  • @TheStig000 100% true there are bad people in government. And we all allow it. We allowed mis-management, thinking it impossible to stop the corruption we give-up or deals with it in-effectively .

But if there be no government, who would manage society? Any who do, are the government. Who would build roads, pays for police, fire, education. who would choice the laws? "Democracy is the worst form of government, except for everything else that has been tried."

  • @kal9990 There has never been a society based on non aggression. Also, don't argue that things like roads can only be built by government. That's flat out wrong. Anything the government does, can be done cheaper and more efficiently by the free market. You ask "who would manage society?" Why does society need to be "managed?" By managed do you mean enslaved?

  • @TheStig000 The road was just an example. I know they can be built privately. But who and how will it be paid for? and will all people get access to that road? you also ask " Why does society need to be "managed?", well then who will make the laws? who will pay the police? who will make laws to stop speeding, robbery, the breaking of contacts, who will protect your rights?

and how can private business to it cheaper?

  • @kal9990 Tolls can pay for roads. The police should be paid based on donations, that way they would actually help people instead of hurt people. Speeding is a victimless crime. Robbery isn't solved by governments, especially when you consider the fact that they rob more than anyone else. Breaking of contracts can be solved through small courts. Who will protect my rights? I'm responsible first and foremost for my rights - no one else. That's the problem with this country, everyone's helpless.

  • its was the PURE Capitalist value not government that got America in this mess and its the main reason the world laughs

  • @kal9990 Capitalism doesn't create monopolies. Corporations lobbying government officials does! The government is HEAVILY involved in corporate activity.

  • @TheStig000 Yes very much true. My last statement "the PURE Capitalist", which i believe yours was a reply too, if im correct, was quite poorly written, thank you for better explaining it :). maybe you like to comment also on TheStig000 comment "Tolls can pay for roads" ... , if you like.

    thanks

  • That girl is so hot!

  • At least I know that when the dollar collapses, I'll have nothing to lose. This poor mother****er is already at rock bottom.

It is only after we've lost everything that we are free to do anything.

  • I would love to see Peter Schiff one on one with Michael Moore. He would destroy him!!!

  • @jneil2007 Set your sights higher than idiots like Michael Moore. Paul Krugman's the idiotic opposite number. If you want to see a young Michael Moore stumble on classical liberalism watch him talk to Milton Friedman.

  • @jneil2007 That's why you would never see it.

  • "It would be a serious blunder to neglect the fact that inflation also generates forces which tend toward capital consumption. One of its consequences is that it falsifies economic calculation and accounting. It produces the phenomenon of illusory or apparent profits." LvMises

  • Peter had a few much too drink..lol

  • can even go into the street and protest without the cops arresting you for freedom of speech. if you want to speak out about your government so what.

they have a minimum wage for the poor the should have a cap on the rich money as well. i hope the dollar crashes cause when moneys worthless your rich asses will all be crying to god when he brings an earthquake to the U.S. to bring this wicked system and greedy people to and end. you will see who runs the world god not the banks.

  • @MultiPanther2012 there is a cap on the rich wages. its controlled by their company shareholders. which why you can see many of the problems.

  • The accumulated debt of all their bad investments will foam up about their waists and all the bankers and politicians will look up and shout "Save us! Sell us gold!"... and I'll look down and whisper "No."

  • I agree with everything this man says.

  • Peter Schiff is a damn tool, you suck and you will never be elected to anything.

  • How about this Mr. Schiff. Bernie Madoff swindeling $800 billion dollars from investors and ruining the lives of millions of americans was not because of government, but because of the free market.

  • @Yankees27u no, it was because of Bernie Madoff

  • @Yankees27u whaaa? Bernie Madoff? ya he caused the depression not!! Try Barney Frank and Chris Dodd and the Banking committee ,C.R.A.,Glass-Steagall Act Dems look it up.

  • @Yankees27u so you learn. why give money to someone to make money for you? if he's that damn good, he wouldn't be making money for you. he'll make money for himself. think about it.

  • @Yankees27u wow

  • @Yankees27u It was the government that gave these investors a false sense of security with the SEC. The SEC is supposed to prevent people like Madoff. If the SEC did not exist people would scrutinize investment institutions with more care instead of relying on an incompetent government agency to do it for them. If the SEC did not exist Madoff would not have been able to get away with his scams for as long as he did.

  • Thats a good shirt jacket combo.

  • Watch the Young Turks and watch him get his ass handed to him by Cenk.

  • @CzeciStan1

One would have to try really hard to imagine a bigger douche than Cenk.

  • @vitalious you're watching one right now!

  • Also few of the posts below make me think they are paid to make Schiff look bad, wonder if they work for government or have an agenda? Agendas are evil just like posts below you are bad people you know the truth.

  • Hey he sells precious metals because dollar is shiat and an asset which holds it's value. Do what ever China is doing, buying silver, gold, commodities, land in South Africa, oil, land in Australia ,Brazil,IDAHO? He also is Stock broker I would trust him over than 99percent of the Harvard Yale smuttzes. Who else was predicting housing crash in 2006 anyone anyone yeah you should be investing with this guy. To even mention his name with Madoff they are polar opposites.

  • This guy is great he is only like .2 in population that thinks clearly understands what's going on has better take on truth of things.

  • His father is serving a 13-plus year sentence for tax crimes (with his location listed as the Terre Haute Federal Correctional Institution). His projected release date is October 7, 2016, just so everyone knows. Peter deals in gold and silver, so it proves he is dishonest.

  • He doesn't even understand you won't have inflation until there is massive demand for scares resources. The guy is clearly a clown who is poorly educated about economics...

  • Schiff is clearly our Nation's idiot...

  • dam she looks extremely hot & horny at 4:33, I'd invest my assets in her...

  • Can someone tell me if truly freemarket could provide all people healthcare and housing, maybe even solve the envinronment problems? I just haven't heard the explanations yet.

  • @geromino2007 I think your mentality is slightly off. Its an individuals job to provide themselves with housing and healthcare (etc.) , not an external entity. But an incredibly prosperous economy would make such things much easier to obtain

  • @geromino2007 Remember when whales were being hunted to extinction in the 1800's? They were be killed for their oils, which people used to light and heat their homes. Then along came a cheaper oil (petroleum) that over night replaced whale oil, as the primary source for heating and light. Whale hunting is now a fraction of what it once was. Arguably, the oil industry saved the whales. What will replace oil as the cheap energy source? Only time, competition and the market can tell.

  • @geromino2007 Health care and housing: you fist have to understand the difference between positive and negative rights and their moral and immoral uses. While people have the right to own a home and seek medical attention ( a negative right because the right only limits someone else from blocking ones access to those things) they do not have the right to force someone to give them a home or medical services (that would be a positive right because someone is required to act)

  • @geromino2007 Negative rights=require others not to act. Positive right=require someone TO act. Both can be either moral or immoral, depending. So to answer your questions about housing and health care; I dont know, but if I did, then that would be a great argument in favor of totalitarian top down government, because one person could have all the answers. Maybe one day technology would make healthcare so cheap that anyone could afford it with little trouble. Look at cell phones.

  • @geromino2007 - no, a free market would only create 10 rich white guys and 308,999,989 US citizens living in the dirt. the only way to solve healthcare, housing, and our environmental problems is to tax the wealthy at 50-70%, that way everyone has skin in the game... otherwise, we'd have smoke filled skys, people dead in the streets each morning and most people living in cardboard boxes.

    -

Schiff is a scammer, he's self centered and is plotting to destroy our country.

  • @tnoyy34rt So you are saying people are better off in countries with less economic freedom like North Korea, or Russia, than the people in countries with more economic freedom like the US, or Canada? lol

  • @tnoyy34rt

Your right!! You notice that he doesn't mention that our crisis happened from the repeal of Glass Stegal... Which was a massive regulation!!!!!!

  • @Healing6arts9 Why would he mention it when he already went into detail about it here?

    watch?v=NGl6D1H8qMQ

The bubble would have happened ANYWAY because of government guarantees. All bubbles eventually pop and when that happens, we have a crisis.

  • is it just me, or does peter looked stone?

  • run to GOLD!!!!!!!!!!!

  • just which part of credit default swaps and the lowest top tax rate in 50 years and outsourcing jobs to india and china at the behest of the corporations NOT contribute to the current crisis ?

  • Those chicks are all over you, Peter!

  • I really admire Peter Schiff. I would add that if we want to blame greedy people, we could blame those greedy people that use government via lobbyist influence to create regulations that favor their businesses. I know Governments provide the liquor, but I wish more capitalists were principled enough not to get drunk on it.

  • no all the major corporations forcing the hands of the government to give them tax breaks and loopholes for them to do whatever they want this guy is full of sh*t and someone needs to tell him to shut the f**k up

  • @seangchurchill No, Its the governments fear of not getting re-elected that forces them to allow the corporations to dictate their decision. Peter Schiff Calls it Crony Capitalism or Cronyism. Your full of shit and a little angry. do your homework next time. Peter Schiff is one of the ONLY economists that predicted this mess (and documented it in books) BEFORE it happened. I think someone needs to tell you to shut the F**k up and show some manners.

  • This guy is just an idiot.

  • Actually, the thought we Americans are living in a democracy, is a fantasy. We are living in a forced transition between nationalism and globalism. Our economic system is in transition between protectionist capitalism, and laissez-faire capitalism. The global 1%ers has decided that the Western Middle classes are the greatest threat to their long anticipated global plantation. They depend on folks like Peter Schiff and those like him, because they know that greed, not patriotism is their motivat

  • Peter Schiff's words are wasted on the 1%. They don't want to see a free market because then they will lose all their bailouts, subsidies, insider trade info, and regulations that destroy all their small business competition.

  • this is pretty absurd. the 1% wouldn't want a free market because they wouldn't have state measures to protect themselves and earn massive gains like subsidies, insider info, bailouts &c.

it's predictable that a free market would have lower payouts for investors and increased risk

  • Stalin was a great man.

  • @theapollomoonlanding hey fuck you buddy

  • A very smart man who tells it like it is. No wonder he didn't get elected to The Senate. LOL!

  • @1family4me - But nobody thinks he is intelligent, he just trying to make money from poorly educated people. Look at his audience, none of them appear too bright.

    -

He is just a scare monger trying to rip people off...

  • @1family4me - I don't think anyone would consider Schiff "intelligent", he's more a white collar criminal aka, Bernie Madoff, who created a ponzi scheme by scaring people into buying silver and gold... not ironically, what he mainly deals in...

    -

His Father is in Federal Prison, and he'll end up there too, so spread the word Schiff is a scammer... don't fall into his trap.

  • @tnoyy34rt His father IS in federal prison. Do you know why? He is a tax protester and wants to do away with the Federal Income Tax System and the IRS. He is in prison because the IRS doesn't see it that way and charged him with tax evasion for not paying his taxes. In other words...he is a hero.

  • @1family4me He should team up with Ron Paul

  • @FlightX101 He was one of his economic advisors in 08 campaign.

  • education, or re-education is absolutely necessary. everyone I know doesn't understand the causes of our problems. I've been staying up all night for 4-5 years trying to sort this all out and I'm still not sure what to do

  • Wow, with his very first sentence he proves that he hasn't a clue. Libertarianism is silly nonsense for undergraduates and other people who really don't know enough about life to make valid decisions. They make perfect willing pawns for billionaires like the Koch brothers, one of whom is a trustee of the Reason Foundation.

  • DRAO: Funny that you didn't mention George Soros, Bill Gates et al who fund items on the leftist agenda. Nor did you mention all the corporateers in the clean energy camp who get billions of taxpayer dollars. Plenty of rent-seeking, I think your anger is a bit misguided.

  • @draoi99 Fuck you

  • The oil is getting more expensive to produce (energy wise) (who cares how many dollars it costs), we are lossing cost effectiveness in net return of energy production (using too much energy to produce energy).

Thats whats killing the FIAT money system.

    Oil = Jobs

No Oil = Jobs / Economy Shrinks.

  • Peter Schitt is a bullshit artist, the OWS isn't out there to create Communism. Peter Schitt is out there to create Fascism. It's not the government funding things with tax dollars that's the problem, it's funding things with Fed dollars that's the problem.

  • @BannedUfos Peter is against the Fed you moron, has been for years. How about you do 5 seconds of research before you open your mouth.

  • @BannedUfos

Its funny how you say stuff without having facts to back up your statement. Have you read any of his books? have you even listen to him on radio? have you seen his debates on the media? have you seen his debate while he was running for Senate? have you seen him in person? Have you even been to Wall Street and ask the people what they are doing there?

DO YOU EVEN LIVE IN THE U.S.???? oh wait u from Australia. ok nvm

Please do some research before u make these silly comments

  • @BannedUfos

Schiff equates Crony Capitalism to what it truly is ...fascism. You are misguided. When the government attempts to pick winners and losers based on who is connected you have near a crony capitalist society which is stealing from those who succeed and produce to give to those who do not and rewarding failing business. Economics is easy stuff pal.

  • He offers exactly 0 solutions.

Buy gold? LOL. 1700 an oz, you better get it in "bricks" If it's certificates, you may end up wiping your butt on them

  • Schiff prefers top-down govt. solution!? So he's Commie? Fascist? Beg craven, corrupted ignoramuses in government for solutions? OWS is seen &heard beseeching corps to do the right thing. Behold! Free Market Values! How's it communism? It's not so STFU. Corporate law REQUIRES a mindless, amoral, cancer of a thing!! Corps NOT motivated to do the right thing! Forbes says, 3 most stupid words in corporatism? "Maximum Shareholder Value." Reform is needed SOON. Who makes it so? Maaaybe Ron Paul.

  • I admire Peter just to be patient with the crappy arguements , let alone his knowledge.

  • the mistakes of previous generations and it is completely unfair.

  • rid of lobbyist. They are excessively payed and do more harm than good. Lobbyist are overpayed ex congressmen and corprate individuals who Wine and Dine other Congressmen. While I slightly agree with shrinking big government there is still a need for institutions like the FDA, EPA, SS, and Medi caid & care. He is also correct about the massive correction we will see in the economy when hyperinflation hits. This country is absolutely F***ed up. The worst part is that I am young. I will suffer for

  • My problem with what he is saying is that He made his bones in the investment by starting with Lehman brothers. He does have some valid points about inflation and gov't spending. The unintended consequence of cutting entitlements will be more crime plain and simple. If someone is unable to feed themselves or their children you must believe that they will do whatever it takes. The issue of course is not with Capitalism, it is with Cronie capitalism. I love how he doesnt say anything about getting

  • Humanity doesn't have the collective IQ to live better. Regardless of ideology we will mindlessly multiply and fuck our environment. Seriously population is a real problem. Average intelligence is a problem. Capitalism won't fix either of those things. And before someone says it, no I don't think Socialism will either.

  • "maybe they'll keep printing money till it's confetti" damn

  • Schiff educating the masses getting us out of this asinine Keynesian mindset.

  • Socialism or Capitalism are just words used by people like Peter Schiff,

The real question is, how much is enough for people like Peter? To stop manipulating

the system for his gain. It's all a game for people like Peter. The more he gets the better he looks in his own mirror

I'm sure Peter have a house with multiple bathrooms, and yet he could still take a shit

only in one of them at the time.

  • @digitVIEW why so jelly

  • @robertmike57 I'm not sure what you're saying. Yes, not treating corporations as people would be a start. Not exactly a good one, though. It's far from enough. I don't see how the OWS people aren't communistic in general attitude. You sound rather socialist yourself. So, whatever.

  • He might have a sound financial mind but there's some political sloppiness going on here. "Capitalism" isn't a state of nature, it's an ideology. And it has never existed in the pure, idealized way Schiff envisions it. Blaming government alone is either ignorant, pathetically partisan or just intellectually lazy.

  • @caeciliusinhorto Yeah, a government is actually necessary for there to be capitalism. You have to have the protection of individual rights before you can have a free market.

  • Yeah, I agree with both of you - voluntarily interacting with people is unnatural, and it's a wonder that we ever tried it at all, really.

That's why we need the government. You have to protect the individual rights that are being violated by the government, otherwise the free market will run lose and we'll have monopolies everywhere, because the price system simply doesn't work; telling people where money's to be made? Pfft! People need to be guided by a benevolent hand, us poor idiots.

  • @SomethingSea1 I'm going to assume you are being sarcastic. The issue is this: man must use reason in order to survive. He cannot live by reason if others use force against him. The government is thus established to protect man from the initiation of force by other men, so that he may live by reason.

  • @AlexanderLee1

"The issue is this: man must use reason in order to survive."

You mean "survive sustainably". Man has not been using reason for most of its history, and man is here. Do you know why? Instinct and emotion. Without instinct and emotion, man cannot and will not survive. Why must man use reason in order to survive? Because man Wants to survive, an emotion; something irrational, not reason-oriented. Man must use both reason and emotion in order to survive sustainably.

  • @AlexanderLee1

"I'm going to assume you are being sarcastic."

Yes, I'm being sarcastic with the gov't reply. However, I have found flaws with Rand's reasoning.

"He cannot live by reason if others use force against him."

That is false. He can live by reason, and miserably.

  • "The government is thus established to protect man from the initiation of force by other men, so that he may live by reason."

The gov't is itself comprised entirely of the initiation of force. Gov't cannot exist without taxation. Taxation is involuntary. Taxation is the assumption that a percentage of everyone's income is owned by the collective people. Taxation is theft. Taxation is violence, force, coersion, and a threat on life. If you do not pay taxes, you are either shot, or jailed.

  • "The government is thus established to protect man from the initiation of force by other men, so that he may live by reason."

This sentence could not be more comprised of contradiction. (Well, I suppose it could...)

Did you not read Atlas Shrugged? When they asked John Galt to run society, they required that he include taxation. He would not.

The gov't is anti-social, anti-reason. What do you hear from the gov't? Always, always, emotional appeals.

  • Barack Obama hasn't even accomplished the things that he has complete control over that he said he would do: end the wars, bring the troops home, unprecedented transparency, etc. Not to mention that he has completely reversed his stance on other important issues like civil liberties and domestic spying. It can be argued whether or not he brought "change", but even if he did it wasn't good change.

  • hes a goldigger!

  • Ron Paul has to be elected or the end is near.

  • @usagill

Sorry pal, but Ron Paul won't win anything... Not if we can help it, that is.

Barak Obama is the ticket for real change in America come 2012, but change takes time, it cannot be accomplished in 4 years, to think otherwise is wishful thinking at its worst.

It will require 4 more years for Obama to restore real prosperity in this nation and we know he can achieve what he promised, we have the utmost faith in his ability to do so.

Besides, Ron Paul can't win, everyone knows that!!

  • @CorporateRule Barak Obama has unquestionably been an agent of real change in America. His actions have prolonged economic suffering for years, has saddled this country with even greater debt and has embraced a set of economic and social policies that have never worked in all of human history and have succeeded only in further impairing the liberties of real people. Maybe Ron Paul can't win the primary. A piece of soggy toast should beat the imbecile in charge - thank God!

  • @FletchforFreedom look at his name. I believe he was being satirical. Even Obama supporters aren't uninformed enough to believe that bs.

  • @usagill Ron Paul will keep the end away, and what is vital to recognize is that he's merely a stepping stone.

  • @usagill I tried to vote "up" on your post, but Google won't register it. I don't understand.

  • Blood Sweat and Tears were great !

  • Its sad how many people today get there economic worldviews from all these "Professor's" at your typical Keynesian university. All the people yelling foul about "Capitalism" when in REALITY we dont even have True Free Markets anymore LOL How the Hell are we in a Free Market System when the Gov't can intervene in the market at any moment of time and flood the markets with liquidity at the snap of the printing press, and then "insiders" make billions from the gov't bailouts. Thats. Not Capitalism

  • Jim Rogers has better advise about what to invest in RIGHT NOW. He says buy some usd and yen and prepare for the Crash. We will See Gold at $1600 oz and lower Again and Schiff has to know this, he isnt stupid as he goes on CNBC fast money and knows the "Short term game". It would just be a shame for that Girl to by a bunch of Gold at $1800 oz thinking its the "Safest place right now" and then sit and watch other "sharps" buy it up after the Crash at under $1600, $1400 or even $1200 oz :(

  • The Girl asked Schiff "what is the safest place for our assets RIGHT NOW" I think Schiff miss fired, While I agree with Schiff 100% that Gold is going to be a Huge Safe Haven longerterm, But with the knowledge that we know a Crash is Coming soon not a matter of if but when I think the best Strategy RIGHT NOW is to go into US Dollars Shorterm and prepare to Grab up Precious Metals after they get sold off in the Meltdown that will come. Buying Gold above $1700 oz right now is not good SHORT TERM.

  • True wisdom

  • @akrulla capitalism is the exchange of goods or services for mutual benefit. Anything else is cronyism or theft, not capitalism.

  • @bocanutz It is not for mutual benefit. What about the all the South American and African countries that are being stripped and exploited in the name of monetary gain...?

  • @akrulla The simple fact is that no such "exploitation" is taking place. The living standards in those countries have improved where the free market has been permitted to operate. Only when governmnet thugs or warlords (think blood diamonds) which amount to the same thing intervene (and no free market exists) have the people found their lives made worse.
