  • Plastic buckets to collect the product... :( I don't think so... Sorry...

  • I like to see some of that stuff in Washington liquor stores.

  • That's true, There is an art and a science to the craft. I'd start with on of the systems from the homebrew shop that take you through the process step by step, like the The Still Spirits System.

  • iv read that when you distill alcohol that you can somtimes produce a poisen like wood alcohol or somthing, what can you do to ensure your getting a safe batch? iv wanted to distill alcohol as a hobbie but was always afraid of makeing a bad batch.

  • yea acctually every gallon of mash you make will have other stuff than ethonol in it. but all of this stuff boils off before the ethonol, so the rule is to discard about 1 ounce for every gallon of mash. yuy have to take the first stuff that comes out of the still, like say you had still (very small) 1 gallon home table top distiler, you would take off the first 1 ounce that came out and discard it

  • Great video!

Can you tell me who made your still?

I'm interested in a craft distillary here in washington. Our laws just changed to allow onsite sales of limited quantities.

    thanks much,

    cj
