Dwarves are as varied as humans are, or at least they deserve to be regarded as just as varied as humans.

There will be fat dwarves, there will be noble dwarves, there will be sneaky dwarves, there will be axe wielding dwarves, there will be hammer wielding dwarves, there will be sword wielding dwarves.

All dwarves are individuals like humans. Breaking away from stereotypes gives much needed character to a race.

What Peter Jackson is doing with dwarves in the Hobbit is a GOOD thing.
