  • the guy's on crack

  • This is BY FAR the best version of Aqualung simply due to the impeccable drumming of the late, great Mark Craney. God Bless you, Mark.

  • I used to have Slipstream on VHS.

  • @FredC1968 Do you have it on DVD now?

  • @Radharc

    My next purchase.

  • Oh God this is good!! Jobson is one of the best and Craney is legendary....

  • One of my ten favorite songs of all time!

  • Craney was one of my favortite drummers, his work on Gino Vanelli's Brother to Brother is a benchmark to this day....RIP Mark...

  • Stuff of flesh made real: I'm old enough to have caught them/him first time round, but nevertheless what an absolute treat to be able to catch them again

  • What I like about Ian Anderson is that he's not a rock star so much as a REAL musician.

  • Great video but you get a dislike for that stupid red banner you have on the bottom during the video.

  • @Zhantohn You can just click the red baloon on the video control bar and hide it.

And it's not a "stupid banner", it's a bar that helps people to find the full playlist of that excelent live Jethro Tull performance and watch every part of it they like.

  • @Zhantohn THANK YOU!! I did not know that...

  • Remember when we first got MTV and they used to show this vid. Mark Craney added the oomph in this version. RIP Mark

  • Craney is without a doubt one of the great drummers ever, this video was a HUGE influence on me when I was a young teen starting out and this shit is still rippin' to this day, rest in peace Mark!

  • The old man stammering on stage i love it!

  • I find this Anderson love/hate thing on the part of commenters funny. Too much Ian on camera, etc. There would be no Jethro Tull without Anderson; there would be no time capsule of virtuoso Eddie Jobson with Tull. Wasn't EJ hopscotching band gigs at the time? Ian was a force: often imitated, often ridiculed, never duplicated. @BigDaddy, thks very much for the videos, as I can't view my old Laserdisc copy- but director David Mallett was the go-to guy in those days. Tull was lucky to get him!

  • Easily my favorite version of this song. Martin rips from the insanely hot guitar intro, to the best solo I've heard him do in Aqualung. I miss those double cutaway Hamers. He knew how to make them rock!

  • Jethro Tull's amazing band. Ian anderson rocks!

... Even if he acts like a drunk loaded parrot swingin his neck like this :p

  • Eddie Jobson is so cool.

  • I had the good fortune to study drums with Mark Craney. What a beast he is on this video!

  • Right On!!! been looking for this version of the Aqualung video for years!! This is the version of the video that MTV used to play in the early 1980's when i was in high school...THANKS FOR POSTING THIS FOR REAL!!

  • Man, I've been looking for this live version for years! Thanks for posting it finally!!! Classic.... Memories my friend! Memories...

    Take care,

    Rolland B. Heiss

  • Barre's solo is fantastic on this version! And that god Anderson gets off the stage during it....and naturally, during Mark Craney's amazing fills near the end, we're looking at Anderson again. I swear, every time I see a clip of this band about 95% of the screen time is given to him. Frustrating. There's an entire band on stage!

  • @drumrnva I think the same thing every time that I watch their videos, you just CAN'T have the camera on somebody when someone else is playing his part! I mean, that means you are a bad director, end of story!

I truly love the way they perform and they are my favorite band, but that mistake is really annoying.

  • @drumrnva Agree wholeheartedly. The director and/or editor are obviously not musicians. The first thing I noticed was how good the band and sound mix was, but nowhere to be seen! Sad. This is a great band!

  • @drumrnva Could not agree more with you.

  • Ian Anderson is the 2nd coming.

  • @jethrodassam

    ...of SATAN !!!

missed this tour, didn't realize Jobson was aboard!
