@SKATERuprising Depends on the kind of Keens you're talking about. If you're talking about sandals then I would suggest boots. I'm required to wear boots when I guide so I don't think twice. If I were to do a personal canoe trip, I would consider wearing minimalist shoes. The main thing is ankle support, but if you feel comfortable on a portage trail and are willing to risk ankle injury then go for it.
