the evolutionized gba version simply bleashed the snes version in every way,it simply has better graphics, more options, cathy music, cool sound effects and made greater uuse of mode7 check the cources with roads wich are saperated from the animated city backgrounds bellow wich gives it an extra 3d effect it better looks like those roads are in the air then rather on the ground, unlike in the snes version.
I dont give a fuck about Paper Stats ! The Fact is, the GBA Synth Sounds are not so good as the Snes One, Snes Sounds Smooth, the GBA Sounds are Scratchy -.-
And the GBA Graphics (even with Filters like Super Eagle) are washed out, on a Fullscreen. Snes Wins
This why I want SNES VC instead if GBA of 3ds Virtual Console cause handheld gamerS deserve better than to get locked to second rate Super Nintendo games.
dude the cpu speed of the SNES is 8mhz!! not 21 and the GBA has full 32bit graphic and colors not 16bit. and NEVER has the snes 1024x1024 progressive resulution
and 10 year later the gab came.obvious the gba one is better.i don't knwo anything about the gba it's sound capabilitys.i know snes music rocked hard with it's 8 channels.i hear gba it's sound chip wasn't that great,to scratchy at times.i know gba can do some damn fine samples at times, better the both snes an genesis.i still think sound wise genesis and snes have gba in the pocket.
not being rude, but i've never understood why this kind of comment always pops up, even in gaming journalism.
fact of the matter is that the graphics capabilities are very different between the gba and the playstation, also the amount of data stored on cart/disc as well as the type of data, the gba architecture lends itself to sprite related tasks, the playstation however could do this and render a large amount of polygons
There's really no comparison graphically. The GBA version had full sprite scaling, and two distinct layers for the track and the ground. I love the SNES as much as anyone, but the GBA version has better graphics. Whether it plays better is another story however.
SNES BGs can be up to 1024x1024: 4x64 tiles, each 16x16 pixels in size.
The visible section can be up to 512x448 (NTSC) and 512x478 (PAL) due to pseudo-hires (512 pixels per line) and interlace mode (only looks good when there's no movement).
Well, the third GBA F-Zero game (GP Legends) definitely looked better than F-Zero SNES, the resolution on SNES wasn't even that higher without emulation.
Not really... I had a SNES and bought the GBA right after the release day, cuz I thought it was like a protable SNES and it kinda is. There are a few decent ports on the GBA and many of the normal GBA titles are really shitty like need for speed underground... horrible! ^^

Where the fuck did you you get that 21mhz cpu sheet for snes. Things got 4mhz where as the gba has 16mhz.

With the 32-bit processor, the GBA should have been able to at least come close to the capabilities of the Playstation 1.

better way to put is the that the PS1 had a dedicated GPU while the GBA did not.

,m mean the snes cut,nt even view 512x480 resolution atonce it only could view progressive 240x250 pixels,
nor dit i ever readed somewhere the snes could also view true 521x40 pixels and PSEUDO 1024x1024 pixels?so what,s the point???

The GBA is like 260x160. And the resolution on the SNES is 256x289 and for backgrounds 1024x1024.

DeadOnSight76 3 years ago
I don't know why, but I like the SNES graphics more. And to me the sound on the SNES is richer. But both games are great.
In some points the SNES graphics are better but in other points the GBA graphics are better. The SNES can draw higher resolutions for example.
THE7thHAND 3 years ago
I love Snes more obviously, I mean, its a Console! No one says they like their PSP more than they liked their PS1! lol
You did a lot of research! Any particular reason?
