@prolene1971 He uses iMovie by the looks of the text on the screen, and no, the full 1080p can only be accomplished if you directly upload it to youtube, or you export it using quicktime, which takes up a lot of memory.

And look at the packaging -- it's a tiny little box inside a big box, to fool the consumer into thinking they're getting more than they are. I got my Canon HV30 a little over two years ago for slightly more than his price of $469, and it blows this camera out of the water.

@MEESH810 It does support full HD recording 1920X1080. It seems to have mixed reviews, although I haven't used it personally. When I was shopping for a Camcorder, it was either the Sony or the Vixia HF11. It's hard to beat the price on this one, I'm pretty shocked to see a fully HD camcorder so cheap. The Sony has class leading image quality so that's why I bought it, and overall I'm happy with a few gripes.

@MEESH810 It cost me $450, but now you can get it for $350 at Costco (just went on sale!). It's great for YouTube, I don't use it outdoors too much so I can't really vouche for it. Some complain about lens flare which I never notice, but it is prone to picking up wind noise.

@AmFilms123 Sony doesn't sell any lens accessories for this camera and there are no threaded lens rings on the camera so I don't believe so. There are lens kits sold on Amazon but there are no reviews on them and very little information so I'm not sure what to think about them.
