dude ive been playing this game for a while, and it really doesnt hold up well. The new one looks sooo much better and less boring

@waterlollie The new one to me is extremely boring, especially the Marine & Predator campaigns. The Alien campaign was decent at best. Seriously, does the new one offer any exciting gameplay elements compared to this one?

@DemonicXeno fasho, thats good to know, because i wasnt really sure. The reviews seemed so mixed with the users, i wasnt really sure, only basing my opinion on the look of the game, but you have persuaded me otherwise. wut platform you play it on?

@waterlollie I played it on the PC. But the game is the same on every other platform. The only thing the new game has over this one is graphics, but that's about it.

Rykov is a pussy. He screams like one and then refuses to take pain medications. Then, he calls predators "sadistic" even though he's no different. lol

Nice and easy is the way to go. Don't wanna make a stupid decision that can cost you.

Praetorians are very annoying in hard(core) mode without the Pistol's secondary fire. They can absorb an enormous amount of damage, can pounce (unlike in multiplayer), and can do an enormous amount of damage with their claws.

I've even thrown the Disc into them several times on hard mode with no visible effects.

The Praetorians are somewhat trickier to beat on Hardcore.

The first time you fight one, run away from it use your Disc, then when it runs away pursue it till it comes after you then back up enough so it will run away from you, then throw the Disc at it, Rinse and Repeat till it gives in.

The other 2 times on the later levels, you just have to retreat to a safe camping location, then blast it with Plasma bolts or Remote Bombs.

Praetorians can't crouch so you can exploit this weakness.

Multiplayer Praetorians can crouch, but can't pounce at all.

I was talking about Single Player only; computer controlled versions.

But thanks for the heads up anyway. I hardly play multiplayer to notice that difference. It mainly due to my frustrations with Online Lag and cheaters.

LAN (Local) games are somewhat tolerable in comparison for me since I rather be playing with the people I trust.

You can still play multiplayer? I thought the servers went down. I still have the discs for this game and for Primal Hunt--mind telling me in a private message how I can play online with this excellent (albeit buggy and exploitable) game again?

I said LAN, local network games. Not online or over the net multiplayer. Basically players at the same location instead of all over the world. There is a patch somewhere but I doubt it's very stable. I'll let you know if I come across it.
