I remember watching the first few episodes. I could of sworn that Dave was bigger than Cody. Recently, though, Cody looks like a beast when next to Dave.
One of the early episodes, Cody was actually pretty upset that he was always in the 'wife' role. But I think he mellowed out once he realized Dave was a better hunter than him.
Also cody's hell of strong. You see him carry plants or stuff sometimes and think they're light, but they're not at all. Like one episode, he lifted their boat up to make a lean-to. He isn't cut, but that comes from muscle training, not something you gain from wilderness living.
bear's show is exciting but he does bizarre things that wouldn't make any sense in a survival situation like making bombs to blow up doors or balancing on high beams to get pigeon eggs. I like dual survival better because the things they do make more sense.

@Tinhh That's the premise of the show, they both work off each other and posses skills the other doesn't have. Although in real life they both run survival schools so I'm sure Cody can hunt better and Dave can find plants better than the show lets on. Its for affect mostly, to show you that having lots of skills and thinking outside your box is what you need to do for survival.

These 2 know a lot about what they are doing and have tons of practice doing it. For those critisizing the participants, watch some whole episodes, and watch whatever else you can from them, then you should realise that they know what they are talking about.

Still gets a little "hyped" at times and has too much Discovery Channel BS entertainment, but overall very informative and both guys obviously know their stuff and are doing their best to teach while some jerk-wad executive on the other side of the camera is yelling for them to fight more and do stupid things like attack a bee hive...

Dick Proenneke was my favorite his documentary was the best and I watch it when I can catch it.

I like Les better because you see him actually surviving in the wilderness where as you don't see much of Bear Grylls making shelter and building fire. My Opinion..
Les' show= "How to Suffer and Die Slowly"
Bears' show= "How to Waste Calories on Unneeded Risks"
Mears' show= "How to Survive in any Environment with Specific Gear and Skills"
Dual Survivor has only had 2 episodes.. not Seasons like the Others..
However so far,
Dual Survivor= "How to Thrive as Comfortable as Possible in any Environment with the Little you Have"
There's alot of Ingenuity so far...Love the Opposite Dynamics, not to Forget HUNTING WITH AN OAR.. Crazy skills

I like 'em all, they all have something to contribute, and none of us are perfect. Let’s break it down. Bear eats and drinks the grossest stuff, Les is a decent film maker, Cody has very strong beliefs and lives them, Dave has the pathfinders school that is teaching the youth around the world about respect, and about getting some fresh air once in a while, and let’s not forget Ray Mears best dressed. Dick Proenneke was my favorite his documentary was the best and I watch it when I can catch it.

I prefer Bear and Les more than these two lunatics.
But out of Bear and Les, I think I will have to go with Les because he seems to suffer more and actually goes through hell during his episodes which makes him the more realistic and tougher man.

@hobomnky No, my point is Les actually show how devastating the wilderness is. Bear Grylls just show you the tactics to conquer the wilderness. I like Les better because you see him actually surviving in the wilderness where as you don't see much of Bear Grylls making shelter and building fire. Plus, he is not alone, which defeats the purpose of the wilderness.

His show is a cheesy reality show...The video of him walking on the lava bridge has like 3 million views...it's out, he's a fake.

@glatch02 although i didn't know bear was an ex-commando i meant my comment size-wise, not skillz-wise. those two look like wwe wrestlers (which aren't very well known for survival skillz afaik, lol). whereas bear is 6' 190-lbs? maybe? pretty average-size imo. but thanks for the trivia info on bear, had no idea he was ex-military altho now that you say it, it's a "duh"/"of course, that's why!" moment for me. ;p
