I wonder why American soap operas last YEARS. Latinamericans soap operas ( telenovelas) tast 6 or 12 months. I watched Sunset Beach in 1997-1999 ( three years) In my opinion that was the best american soap opera.

@psydroped The writers are good about gradually introducing new characters that will eventually become more prominent. When Victor, Kay, Jill, Nikki and all them die off, The next generation (Vicki, Nick, Billy, Lily, etc.) will be filly grown and will be the principals. Just like how they phased out the Fosters (except Jill) and the Brooks'.

Melondy Thomas Scott looked so glamourous in this scene at the beginning 0:30 - 0:36 she looked very pretty and a good entrance there. I loved every clip of SC & JM, they were always glancing over at eachother in almost all of the openings. Jack looked like James Bond in the 2nd to the last opening. And I miss Shemar Moore as Malcolm; Heather Tom as Vikki N; Chritine Blair played by Laura Lee Bell; and the character Ryan McNeal; also Camryn Grimes as Cassie.
