Why do people keep saying Valve need a new engine, the Source engine is great and updated with every new game release. Just take a look a Portal 2, a massive graphical improvement over Half-Life 2 and it does not kill your system like some other engines.

it looks freaking the same as css just with slightly better gfx what exactly was the point of making this game besides selling millions of copies of it again.? After 2 weeks the only servers you will be able to find is Dust2 ones anyway. The main reason i got turned off by playing CSS. At the beginning you could play maps like Compound/Port now its all dust2 shit because the nerds only likes those ones

They repackage the same game on the same engine with higher res textures & models with higher poly counts. Its been a long time since CSS was released. After 8+ years of waiting, we deserved something on a better engine. I have played c-s since 1.3 & have earned my right to speak.

People like selection, I HATE IT SO MUCH to see 100000 servers with 24/7 of one map and only like a handful of servers that cycle all the maps. This goes for any game with dedicated servers; CoD BOP and CoD4 did that crap and now BF3 more servers of 24/7 of the same map and you can't cut them off. Playing the same map over and over again does not make you a pro. A real pro wants a challenge. U should know

While this isnt a spectacular, amazing, graphically intense looking game...  I like it. It retains the same style game play, while improving all the qualities that would make this a new age game. I think this was very thought out, and was a smart move to keep the consistency... It also probably isn't a huge resource hog, allowing for much smoother gameplay... overall, from what I've read and seen. THUMBS UP

I wonder if they're going to have gamemodes that were player-made in CSS, like GunGame and Prison, or if they'll have a way to download them on the consoles? Not necessary but would be cool. I'm gonna get this no matter what, I'm loyal to Valve. But I do think that their games have just turned cartoon-y looking. L4D2 seems more cartoon-y than L4D but I think it's just because of the light. It's a good idea, but I don't think L4D graphics were meant to be seen in the light. Same with TF2.

But that's ok because at least we will be able to tell what we're looking at, unlike COD, where you can't tell the difference between enemies and teammates until it's too late, or the difference between enemies and scenery. I mean, I'd really rather not buy the same game again just for better graphics and different guns. There's already CoD for that, lol. The cross-console multiplayer seems great though, and if they have that same deal with Portal (buy on PS3 get PC free) I just might get it.
