Make them sit before you let them inside and again when they are inside to focus and calm them. When they are calm, then you reward them with food or a pet. After that it's just repetition. Be consistent.
I like the safe tug. I think I will work on that with my 7 month old boxer so the 2 year old can play tug. right now its desi olds the toy and rolls on his back while the 2 year old nephew pulls and pulls. lol. Boxers are so good with kids. I have a video of desi, do you have an other suggestions for tricks??
They really are great dogs. Safe tug doesn't hurt anyone's feels and there is no competition or pinched fingers but you have to be consistent. Other than that, I've just been teaching them tricks that will help them to be better canine citizens like down and stay, and making sure they stick to it. I haven't taught him paw, because frankly he is already up in my face enough because he is a boxer and an attention whore. :)
Well, only in the rich parts of Europe, but its mainly done to rottweilers & dobbermann, thats why i thought it may of been an accident! Anyway, very beautiful dog & well behaved. My 6 months APBT/AMSTAFF mix only know "Sit" "Down" "paw". How old is Mr Bruno?
That's Moose, he's not in the crate. He's laying on the carpet behind the crate's open door.

Thank you! Well, your Staffy is much more advanced than Bruno was at 6 months. Bruno is 11 months, a year on May 15.

Oh, no. He's a boxer, I think in Europe they leave the tails intact, but in America they still dock the tails while the pups are very young.

Nice, but what about the tail? Some accident?

SC pointed the cat out to me. I was so excited that the dog acutally remembered stuff we'd taught him i didn't see the moose.

Moose appears to be bored with Bruno's skill set.
