I've went through two sets of these. The first one the ear cup broke completely off, and the second one had blown speakers out of the box. When the ear cup broke off you could easily see that it was only attached with a very small piece of white plastic. Check other reviews...this headset sounds great but is built like shit. And if you have this headset and it hasn't broke yet...just give it time..If your in the market for a new headset...At least avoid the swivel cup design, its a total fail..

@GOTDATAZNBOI I recommend getting the PX11s, They're advertised on the Turtle Beach web site but I don't think they're released yet. The PX11s are the P11s with the new DSS2. Avoid the DPX21s, they have a high defect rate. Read my above comment for more of my 2¢ about the DPX21s. Also, read text reviews on websites like "Newegg" or (where I purchased mine) "Walmarts online store". Don't always take Youtube reviews as fact, almost all reviews are by people who just opened the product...=P

Hey i need some help. I have this head set and its working pretty well. But the one problem that i am having with it is when im playing like COD and im trying to listen to peoples foot steps the headset just kinda makes the foot step into a surrond sound. Is there any way that i can make it so it will provide me a more directional sound to where the player is located, rather then just have it sound like its coming from somewhere where its not actually coming from.

Dont say that the trittons are better sound because the guy has just said they sound exactly the same. If you have normal ears then get the cheapest ones

@DansAppleTv1 I'm not saying they sound better, as the sound quality is about the same. What i am saying is the surround sound is far more accurate due to the four speakers in each ear making it a true surround sound headset and not simulated. This makes pinpointing sounds far more accurate.

@pringle2333 I heard that they are extremely heavy/uncomfortable and that the surround sound on them isn't even half as good as the virtual surround sound with the dpx21. The dpx21's are also universal, you can use them with pretty much anything. The only problem is that I hear they can break fairly easily so you NEED an extended warranty with them.

@markuscc they are not uncomfortable and it beats the dpx21 as it is more accurate due to the 4 speakers in each ear + there is a hiss with the dpx21 which is almost non existant with the trittons. The sound quality is about the same however. In my opinion this makes the Trittons a better choise if you have the money. If not, the dpx21 are a very good alternative.

@pringle2333 Actually virtual surround sound is better than ''real'' surround sound. Just because in ''real'' surround sound headsets the speakers are too close to each other to create a large field of sound.

I also am a big dude with quite a large dome. If you ever wear fitted hats I wear a 8 3/4. I hardly ever use headphones because they often hurt my ears since they either don't fit or tug on them.

@DUK703 i believe u can use the x31's for sound but u won't be able to chat because they are made for the xbox 360, if your want a wireless turtle beach headset for the ps3 i suggest the PX5's which are pretty much the x31's but for the ps3 with a lot more features

@poledancerz1 if your TV has a optical out port, you can connect that optical cable to your TV rather than your console. You can also connect using a 3.5 - 3.5mm jack from your TV to the DSS. Pro Logic IIx with work its magic, giving you surround sound from that stereo input. So the optical is better, starting out from the 5.1 input. :D
