I guess from these comments that a glock is the only self defense choice...hmm. everything but a Glock jams and a .22 isnt a good self defense gun?? Its a bullet entering flesh at a speed way faster than a fist in your face. If a criminal wouldnt retreat because its a .22, then he wanted to die.
DO NOT BUY THIS GUN i had 1 and it fell apart in 3 diff places in less then 800 rounds 1. the bottom of the mag fell off 2. the mag relice fell off 3. both sides of the main frame inside the breach has a 1 to 1 1/2 inch crack i can not belive theres not a recall. its totaly unsafe
even when it worked, with the extended barrel it was spray and prey behond 15 yards and was not that acurate even at 15 the gun is a brick tis heavy unsafe and it jams a lot
Just got one, $190 out the door. Turners, the go for $149.99.... but that's MSRP's.. the highest, you can get em for $100 to $70 used. How's your hp22 holding up?
Just shot the gun last night, brand new. I was expecting some problems during the break-in period but about 200 rounds and no problems at all with federal bulk pack. Guess i got lucky with mine.
Just got one this past weekend as a gift. Having problems with it. My first gun. Cannot get them on the phone. To call it a piece of trash you would be rating higher than what it is.
whoa! where'd u get an all black one from? the only one i could find was the little chrome and black one at the local pawn shop that i do buisness withy.
Got mine at a gun show in Houston, the dealer was up in Dallas. You can contact Phoenix Arms directly and ask for dealers in your area that stock the all-black ones. I paid $150 out the door during the height of the post-election price hikes, they should be $100-$130 now.
ahhh.. my first handgun... i bought one when i turned 21 because it was all i could afford at the time. junk gun fun to shoot but nothing close to reliable. glad i saved up and got an xd 45
i love ONTARIO, has nothing to do with location, just the fact that this little gun had lots of missfires and the bore striped on two long barels that i had. it was finaly replaced with a FIRESTAR 9mm. now that was a gun.

mine seems to have misfires, like it feeds the round, and doesn't fire when the hammer/pin hits the round. Any idea?

Try another brand of ammo, mine is partial to CCI, might help?

Indeed a great plinker gun.
I have heard some wives are carrying this for self-defense. Not a good idea IMHO.
On the range, I have had an average of 1 jam per 20 rounds. And, better, 1 jam per 40 rounds of CCI Stinger ammo.
Still....not the most reliable piece for Self protection.

CCI Mini Mags = no problems, also the Remington 333 box (very similar nose shape but less wax/lube on the bullet).
