    Nice greetings!

  • Nice song!

Sounds like some of the sweeter stuff from the '60s and '70s.

    Englebert Humperdink, maybe?

    I like it-

    sweet and strong!

  • so simple and great :))

  • Ron! this is so good. really simple and beautifal man. honestly, so melodic, i love the swing, sort of jazzy. sounds like something tony bennet would sing, love it!

  • Hey Ron,

its a very nice new song and intrument - I'm not shure, what I like more:-)

    Greatings from Wolfgang

  • Thank you Wolfgang, and you know that is an acoustic/electric tenor Ukulele I am playing... You should consider one of these, It would sound great pluged-in on stage I would think :o) Have a great day. -Ron

  • Hey Anne, I just listened to Scared of Heights, and oh my goodness, what a great song and peformance... This guy is really good... The Itsybitsy Spiders could do this song some time I think :o) Oh and, I love your little Uke... it is every bit as good as that thing I am playing (it is really a tenor Ukulele, which is just an overgrown uke). Talk again soon Anne, and congratulations on your pending graduation from College... I actually feel poud, isn't that something :o) -Ron

  • Hey is that a new Ukulele? :)

Really nice song. I love the chord changes at 1:07.. it's really summer like. I can almost hear the maracas. Great post Ron

  • Hey Phil, thanks a lot. Yes that is a new tenor Uke made by Ovation. It is a bit bigger than the normal size uke but plays exactly the same. Thanks again Phil. -Ron

  • WOW!!! I really like this one!!!!!!!!

    Monica

  • Thank you Monica. -Ron

  • Hey Ron- It's been a while.I love the chord changes here, and your rhymes are sweetly phrased. This is one of the best I've heard of yours, I think. - Mo

  • Hey there Mo, great to hear from you. Thank you and I'll have to get over to your channel to catch up very soon. Talk to you later, -Ron

  • do u sing first? and later sing along with your recording?

    u r off the rickter!

    michael

  • Hello Michael,

I normally sing and play the "video" parts live. In this vid, the uke and the voice are live. I then overdubbed the harmonica to that. This is the way I normally do all of them...Keep it simple is my motto :o) Thanks, -Ron

  • It seems I forgot to comment on this wonderful piece of art.

I love it Ron, you always manage to make such great melodies which hook me in instantly :)

  • Great song Ron! 5*s I couldn't help but look at all of the instruments you have hanging on the wall. They look too fun to play! And . . . great ending to your video, smiles are always good! :o)

    Gretsch'n

  • Hi Gretsch'n,

I do smile a lot actually, but as soon as the camera turns on I go stone faced for some reason, haha. I finally got some of my instruments off the floor and on the wall. In the background you see a parlour banjo my big ole mandolin, and a little Yamaha guitar. They are fun to play, yes :o) Thank you very much, Lindsey, and I'll talk to you again soon. -Ron

  • Glad to see another original from you! Really dig it, especially like the harmonica work. Unfortunately, the video stops working at about the one minute mark, so I can't catch the end. :(

  • Hey Joe,

At the end I douse the uke with lighter fluid and set it on fire :o)... Oh btw, Ruby's channel was suspended for a while today... really shook me up... she's back now though thank goodness. I'd hate to have to burn YouTube down, but.... Maybe I shouldn't have said that, eh? :o) -Ron

  • Thank you very much, David. -Ron

  • Hey Ron... really enjoyed this one.. loved the harmonica solo! Very much McCartneyesque!

We had the pleasure of playing with a great harmonica player at that open mic night last week.. He came prepeared for any key and solo'd his little heart out.. was great.

    ~Sonya

  • I wish I could be at some of those open mics, my goodness... got to be the best open mics every with you guys up there, haha.... oh, and harmonica? I am very lame at it, but I keep pluggin away. I want to play blues but so far all I can do are simple little melodies. Oh well, -Ron
