Firstly, why are those people standing in their, POSING for the camera and PRETENDING to be afraid of being bitten. Sharks are well-fed in aquariums so they probably won't bite and medical help is in close range. Stop wasting precious oxygen!
Forcing dolphins and whales—who in nature would swim many miles every day—into barren concrete tanks at SeaWorld is pretty much like forcing you to live in your bathtub. Would you be happy living in your bathtub? Nope—I didn't think so. I think it's safe to say that a rubber ducky is the only animal that belongs in a bathtub.
Dolphins and whales at SeaWorld need YOU to raise awareness about this.
lol it's just a sand tiger shark. They're naturally sluggish and non-agressive. It probably would have just bumped into the diver and startled itself.
i cant remember what that type of shark is called but i know they are very docile, which is why they are candidates for aquariums. but i think it was a good thing she pulled you out the way, since your hair might have got snagged on its teeth, then it would have opened its mouth to remove the hair and......well you can figure the rest out.
but nice dive, wish i could do this in a UK aquarium.
@MrJackoVasaurus they can tell the difference between food, the only reason they attack is when they are really hungry and cant tell in murky water/beaches with alot of waves
This is a nurse shark, which is harmless to humans (unless provoked like any other living creature). They feed on small shell pods and fish, and won't even think of biting a human.. I learnt this in grade 1?..
I had a similer experience. I knew we were in for a good dive when the instuctor said normally I'm pretty bored diving in the tank but the sand tigers are mating. I got chase by the dominant male.
@MrJackoVasaurus the shark was close to bite him, he begane to open mouth when another diver thog the "target" out of sight. he was lucky. sharks shoulden't be cept in captivity

@MrJackoVasaurus You cant train sharks its just a grey nurse shark they are naturally placid and docile, they are one of the few sharks you would want to be in the water with
also if the shark did bite him thats his fault bcuz if i had big teeth and i was a shark i would be mad too if someone shoved their buzz-cut up my face.
Your initial reaction to the shark caused it to investigate your movements plus you were nervous as fuck. Thank god your buddy moved you bro or you might have had a bad accident. Awesome video!
@hunterziegelmann If a shark bite me and I'm in an aquarium and the only way to be saved was for me to pucg it's gills I WOULD DO IT no matter what the aquarium ppl said! lol I would rather be lectured to death than be eaten :P xD
Okay thats a gray nurse shark nothing would of happend cept alittle hit maybe or it would of changed the way it was swimming ive learned in years past that gray nurse sharks are friendly or you wouldnt be swimming with them at a Aquarium to the point if you did get attacked you could sue
I believe diving is at own risk, aquarium or not. And besides, it's an animal, it's unpredictable, no matter what the aquarium-holders do with it, it can attack, but the risk is very small. So sueing because of an animal is quite ridiculous in my opinion..
@carrotfarmer1552 just like the lady that sued a zoo because she jumped over the first fence to get closer to the polar bear exibit and then got chewed up. stupid.

And this guy was like hey a shark about 4ft long and 10inches away lets turn my back on him and smile in the camera...
