"Signing Statements" are never go away. Someone handed every future POS a golden editing pen. They are not ever going to give it away. Of all the things Bush/Cheney did to us, this absolutely has to be one of the worst. And has been said before, Bush/Cheney left little gems hidden all over the White House for future Presidents. Some will use it a little. Some will go batshit insane. Time will tell that Bush/Cheney destroyed the USA.

No but it is normal to cite your own references when you make claims like that. The burden of proof is with the person making the claims, which you should know if you want to talk about "doing research."

Yes, which makes congress complicit to this trillion dollar spending spree. Often times, congressmen and women don't even read the spending bills they are voting for because the documents are way too long, and they are given little time to read them.
I see that many like Obama because he appears articulate at times and delivers big speeches.
But, looking at the results of his policies, they are doing major damage. And btw, I'm not a Republican because they just want big government too.

Have you looked at the growing unemployment rates, the decrease in the value of our dollar, his bailing out of companies like GM telling the public all hell would break loose (when GM actually finally went into bankruptcy and is now functioning again), the continuing and intensifying of the wars the US is in?
I could go on and on. But, yes it WILL do damage in the future too. Look at Obama's own projections. HR 2454, the Cap & Trade Bill, is the next thing that will further damage our country.

Seeing as how he's 73 now, I don't think he'd be alive in 2012. And even if he is, he'll probably die soon after being sworn in. If Failin -- Palin tries for it, that's just a waste of a campaign spot. But, I'd still support Obama until he "crosses my line". But comparing him to BUSH makes it seem like you think Obama is mentally retarded, illiterate, and has the IQ of dirt.
For all we know, Obama MIGHT be different. But it'll take some time to really see that. It can't be done in a year.

Often these bills get tacked on with a bunch of amendments that have nothing to do with what the bill is about, and in some cases the legislative branch tries to assume powers that belong to the executive. In order to not "throw the baby out with the bath water", presidents have issued signing statements. The campaign trail can be brutal to candidates who give nuanced responses - just imagine if Obama had answered, "It depends". He chose to be definitive, but now it's come back to bite him.

what likely happened was grandma told grandpa to get up and do something, so he called up the town paper and had them announce the birth in the events section.
