This really is pretty bad.. the 'violin concerto played upside-down' was not part of the program for the premiere of his first violin concerto. Inbetween the second and third movements, Clementi did an impromptu performance of his OWN composition, on the G string only, of his violin which he held upside-down. This was, if anything, an insult to Beethoven for having procured the score for the concerto so late, preventing Clementi from practicing it (it had to be sight-read).
@EnglishPub No one is perfect. You can see why he would have made the mistake having simply read that the incident occured during the performance. Thanks for offering the correction. You should e-mail Mark.
Thank you for this. It has me laughing out loud. I'm a huge Beethoven fan and this is surely the most unusual documentary I have seen yet on his genius. If more lectures were like this, I would have learned a good deal more in college.
2- think of all the icky things in the Coloseum in Rome! all done to the sound of harps and flutes! and cheering crowds suffering from a homicidal mass psychosis!!!
possibly the open source nature of knowledge proposed by the posting of these videos will warrant a mark steel lecture on the life of mark steel.. thank you again.. ive watched em all at least 3 times... i only hope his perspective can save us from the confines of the current concepts of education... better yet is the character acting.. thank you... MORE!!!!! pls
Awesome, these are much appreciated, by me at least! Oh and if you happen to have the Sigmund Freud one lying about somewhere, it'd be great if you could upload it at some point! :)

music has nuthin to do with violence in society. there was no Doom metal in the 11th century! and hundreds of massacres and naughty things went on!!
