Phillip Levi, Dillinger, Lone Ranger and Toyan are probably the greatest Mic men ever. Tippa Irie was also great, but style wise. Smiley Culture: mediocre at best
Are we all forgetting Daddy Willy from Young Lion sound as I remembering him bushing Levi in 1984.Don't get me wrong Levi to me is the greatest Mc from the Uk ever but before Willy died he could hold his own with anyone in the Uk.Yeah yeah yeah he did sound like Phillip but the guy was very brave to call out Levi.
Didnt Levi make a diss record about Rodigan called 'Ramjam capitalism' Anyone got video of it? He once dissed him live on the radio during a concert. Anyone know if they settled their differences?
most of you guys didnt even know saxon and all the lewisham brothers from overclife road. This is a genuine shout out too all of them that i grew up with. hail up maxi priest from algernon road and all lewisham crewe!!
this tune from is ruff! from dem saxon hi-power days in 1984 was the very first non-JA tune to make no.1 on the jamaican reggae charts i believe. check his later 'trouble in afrika' for more heavy UK mc niceness...
