Ron Paul has some amazing ideas for currency, but this polarization at all levels is damaging. I want to see collaborative efforts from all those with good ideas, not he vs he or she vs she.

The union workers had already agreed to the fiscal demands, which, incidentally, basically adds up to an 8% wage cut. But this was after Walker legislated corporate tax breaks.

@youngzeegy It certainly does if more businesses move to that state vs. other states as a result. Businesses are in fact abandoning states with higher tax rates and moving to those with lower tax rates. More taxpayers = more revenue. Fewer taxpayers = less revenue, no matter what the rate set.

The problem is that we can observe that in real life, economic growth generated by tax cuts does not offset the cuts. Look at Texas. They've had extremely low tax rates for a very long time, and their budget difficulties are some of the worst in the country. In other words, you are making an abstract argument for why corporate tax cuts could help a budget, when we know from concrete experience they don't.
This is all about Scott Walker standing up for Wisconsin and doing what is necessary to close the deficit. Except for one little thing: the matter in dispute (collective bargaining) doesn't subtract a dime from the deficit! All of the financial concessions were made immediately by the unions! The only way they got it through the senate was by stripping it of all financial language (screaming from the hilltops: THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE DEFICIT!) so they could vote on it without a quorum.

Gov. Walker himself went in front of Congress and admitted that his attack on collective bargaining had nothing to with fiscal matters. It's ideology, plain and simple. The union workers had already agreed to the fiscal demands, which, incidentally, basically adds up to an 8% wage cut. But this was after Walker legislated corporate tax breaks.
Palin screamed about shared sacrifice, or some such, but when do the upper 1% share in this "sacrifice"?

@youngzeegy It certainly does if more businesses move to that state vs. other states as a result. Businesses are in fact abandoning states with higher tax rates and moving to those with lower tax rates. More taxpayers = more revenue. Fewer taxpayers = less revenue, no matter what the rate set.
Those tax reductions also had yet to take effect, which makes your argument irrelevant.

The problem is that we can observe that in real life, economic growth generated by tax cuts does not offset the cuts. Look at Texas. They've had extremely low tax rates for a very long time, and their budget difficulties are some of the worst in the country. In other words, you are making an abstract argument for why corporate tax cuts could help a budget, when we know from concrete experience they don't.

This is all about Scott Walker standing up for Wisconsin and doing what is necessary to close the deficit. Except for one little thing: the matter in dispute (collective bargaining) doesn't subtract a dime from the deficit! All of the financial concessions were made immediately by the unions! The only way they got it through the senate was by stripping it of all financial language (screaming from the hilltops: THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE DEFICIT!) so they could vote on it without a quorum.

Don't be fooled. He worked as the chairman for the Federal Reserve in K.C. and doesn't support a audit of it of the Fed. Not to mention, he praised TARP. Who do we have? There are only two...Ron Paul and Gary Johnson. They are the only two candidates who are not bought and sold and have the voting record to back up their positions of working for the peoples best interests, and not the corporations. Everyone else is just going to be another disappointment who is controlled by higher powers, especially someone who use to work as chairman of one of the Federal Reserve banks of all places.

@rmccay88 - Google "Ron Paul Newsletter". Ron Paul still won't divulge who the ghost writer was. He told CNN that he had no idea who wrote the articles for his newsletters, but admitted reading them. He said "there were people in and out of there all the time" [his office], but had no idea who. Dude, he had no control over his own newsletter? And he wants to be president? He also received campaign donations from StormFront*org and David Duke and refused to return the money.

Iran has thrown its support behind it. It's combination of *paid* protesters, communists, and other assorted extremists along with college kids looking for a place to be rebelius and / or party. If cellphone/Internet civilizations rolled back by these governors, I'd have no problem turn to primitive authority rituals ruling this world. Sorry, China provides temp. fantasies only. The tide is not going to be overpowered by primitive ritual languages anymore. Sorry, can't sell us out anymore. We have solid evidences that our re-use-able economic resources/technologies/efforts are always around us locally for us to shine again. Unions ain't walking away but integrated into communities.

Many of these spellbound people of Gov scott walker and others like him, dont want anyone to have a pension or insurance including the military, whether your a secretary or a pilot. They want to go after the Police and the Fire Dept next and make them pay for there insurance to, with there pay. And look out seniors your next they will say it's your job to take care of your own insurance and pay. Cant be a solialist senior citizen can you.

@hooseyadaddy I am so happy that I see more conservatives in the black and latino sectors! For years the liberals have lied about who really fought for civil rights. It wasn't the lefties or the KKK members (Sen Byrd) who wanted to free the slaves...it was the men in the Northeast who wanted to set everyone free and give equality. I never had a racist thought in my head even though I grew up around mostly whites and latinos. My exboyfriend lived in ATL and I visited him and nearly got killed because I was white and he was black! His family didn't accept me but I didn't care. I love people for their personality and character. MLK was a great man as are you and Herman!
