From Mako pool I took spirit shark, which hits pretty damn hard. Back in issue 13, info showed it doing about 334, in issue 14 that got nerfed to 285, but still a great ranged attack despite the long cast time. Arctic breath was the other I took, as that debuffs defense, useful for forts and /SR scrappers, and also debuffs resistance which helps pound out non resistance characters like regen/forts and so on. Also debuffs recharge slightly.
In pve, weave, manuevers, and CJ slotted and setted really pushes your typed defense to good levels, making it a good choice in that venture.
Lately, I also slotted two Steadfast Protections: Knockback protections into my build, so I'm now immune to Knockout blows Hold/Knockup combo which gives you an edge versus other SS users.

Yea I dunno, with all of WP's toggles and tough running I get about 45% smash/lethal resist. I don't know if she was running tough with her build, but I'd assume just a invuln/ tanker running their regular toggles with Diminishing Returns in effect would get her around my resist if not around 50%+
I guess I have Fury to thank for the damage, along with a global +20% damage boost from sets, and the new Arctic Spray power for brutes, which drops resist and defense, and I dropped a achilles proc.
I'm just surprised that an Invuln tanker was taking that much more damage than you. But then again, maybe new PvP changed something in that regard, I'm not sure.
oops meant do you just have tough, and not weave?

Yes, tough only, weave is wasted on /WP for pvp.
